Hi VJ members, just received the Interview letter and still can't figure it out what those codes are for? I thought this letter will help me to know what actually need to bring at the interview but I got totally lost

in one paragraph it says:

- "Bring updated Federal income tax information to the interview. If a sponsor filed an I-864 (Affidavit of

Support) and provided the NVC with proof of an IRS Federal income tax extension in lieu of a Federal

income tax return, bring the sponsor's most recent Federal income tax return to the visa interview."

I don't get this, do I need to bring my husband's most recent 1040 or what? We don't have joint sponsor and we filled out I- 864 form and sent to NVC! What my husband need to send me, if he needs?

I can't figure it out what those codes mean? I don't know if I need to bring my civil documents, Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate....

Did your husband file a 2013 income tax extension? That's what they are saying. If he did he has had to have his taxes done by the time of your interview or you will not be approved but be put in AP until he provides.

Also can you fill out the form so you can be added to the spreadsheet. hank you.

Question for the group. My CEAC site says "In Transit" but when I log into the "DS-260, Online Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application" portal page the Affidavit of Support Fee has changed from N/A to Paid. Is this normal? Thank you.

That's what others have reported in the past.

Lots of people have said that. My case is in transit also and my N/A have changed back to PAID. Your current processing site will state your consulate.

Mine has just changed from "N/A" to "PAID", but it still shows "NVC".

OK now Im not only excited but extremely stressed too. Hopefully someone can help me. I just received my interview letter for November 14th which is a Friday, I have to work on the 11th (Tuesday) So I would like to plan on flying to Ciudad Juarez on the 12th which I would arrive around 3:30 so that day I wouldn't be able to do anything productive, but then I would have to do both my medical examination and the biometrics (fingerprints) on the 13th. I am just wondering if that is pushing it or if it is doable without any issues.

Ciudad is known to be a very dangerous city especially for women traveling alone, so I would rather my wife not going alone but to travel with me on the 12th, any suggestions would be very appreciated, I would like to buy the plane tickets but Im very undecided on whether to travel together or not.

That seems pretty close for medical. How long does it take to get results? I know most have 5 days to a week. Next day seems very fast for such a busy place. Have you verified when results would be ready?

I've read a bunch of reviews and everyone has picked up the results either at 2:00 PM the same day or the next morning, that's why I think it might be possible

I guess what Im mainly worried about is being able to do both things the same day, the medical examination and the biometrics ( fingerprints) Does anyone kow how I can get ahold of the office that does the biometrics? So I can verify whether I need an appointment or not and the hours they are available to do the fingerprints

It's important you travel together specially when coming into the USA with a green card/Visa for the first time with everything I have read. Be with her. Good luck.

Really don't push it like that, you just might regret it. Can you take a few days vacation time or is that what your already doing. It would really be worth it.

Great to hear from you my friend don't forget us on the Support thread. My case is a disaster, thanks to Austin I sent my parents marriage certificate to be translated so I'll only be delayed four days not an extra 60 since i was stupid enough to believe Betsy the sup at NVC. Wish I could sleep until this was all over.

I know he did that before new year, he also sent I-864 with 1040 forms to NVC for the past three years and W2 as well!

That means he doesn't need to send me those forms, right?

But, I couldn't find any packages shipped to Montreal on the DHL site.

Maybe I'm not doing it correctly? Oh, well.
