Hi everyone!

We had our interview on Wednesday and it was approved!

My son and I went to the interview with him.

I was a little nervous especially when I saw how they tough they were with someone before us.

But it was very easy :) just basic questions:

Where did you meet? How long have you been married? Have you been to the us? Where will you live? Is your son a citizen?

We had a problem with our sponsors 2013 income being low and they were going to request us to provide another sponsor, but I was able to show them that our sponsor made plenty in previous years and their assets and the co changed her mind right away and approved us :)

I just wanted to post this so I could let everyone know some things that were kind of weird.

When we got to the embassy they told us to give them copies of our i864 and tax papers. Since I sent to nvc it wasn't supposed to be required, but I brought a huge binder of all papers just in case so it wasn't a problem. I also brought our sponsors previous years taxes and assets and those actually saved us from being sent away.. So pleeeeeease everyone even if nvc says the papers are not required, just be prepared for anything :)

Well done for being ready and successfully fencing with the CO.

And I fully agree with you on being well prepared with all kinds of supporting documents. It's unforgivable for anyone to trust that the long chain of sometimes inefficient and/or unorganized agencies (USCIS/NVC/Consulate) would not miss or mess up a critical piece of evidence in your case file.

My husband went to see his primary care doctor this morning and discussed his requirements for vaccinations. (The doctor who does the medical exam for immigration visa in Paris sent us the instruction before hand.)

Well, he needed to take a blood test to see which vaccinations he would need to get. It will take about a week to get the result, and based upon the result, he would get his vaccinations if needed, and he would bring the documents to the medical exam that the embassy instructed.

So, I would recommend that you see the primary care doctor well in advance so you have enough time to get appropriate vaccinations.

Here is our time line:

Appointment at primary care doctor to see which vaccinatins to get + blood test: 11/10/2014

Blood Test Result: 10/1/8/2014

Appointment with primary care doctor for vaccination: 10/20/2014

Appointment with medical exam: 10/31/2014

Interview in Paris: 11/04/2014

This may not be the case in other countries but I just want to share just in case.

I took a look at your timeline and just wanted to ask if you had a checklist?

Thanks!

Hi. Yes, got a checklist on i864. Husband incorrectly input adjusted total income instead of just the total income. Took 60 days to have them reviewed. Got a Cc in sept.2. Also, checklist for my son's i864, it should be i864w since he will be a US citizen upon entering US. We didnt know that, haha. His case complete was sept.23 so, i guess they based my interview with his cc date.

Instruction for I864:

"The following type of intending immigrants do not need to file this form:

...

2. Any intending immigrant who will, upon admission, acquire U.S. citizenship under section 320 of the Immigration and Nationality Act. as amended by the Child Citizenship Act of 2000 (CCA)

...

If you qualify for one of the exemptions listed above, submit Form I-864W, Intending Immigrant's Affidavit of Support Exemption, instead of Form 1-864."

I'm gonna be calling on Tuesday to see if my interview has been scheduled. Since Cathy got hers, I'm almost certain I got mine too :D

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

Guys,

I had my POE yesterday evening at ATLANTA>

It was pretty much a breezy after the bad start to the flight, which was delayed by 4 hrs, which resulted in missing my connecting flight. Nevertheless I reached ATL 4-5 hrs later than the expected time.

At POE, I was taken for finger printing, And another place which handles immigration like our cases, made to sit after I Submitted my sealed envelope. Once the papers work from their side was done, I was made to sign, and given a temperory green card stamp on my passport, along with a small slip with the time frame I need to remove the conditions. That was it! No questions asked :)

Totally took me not more than 20 mins.

Good luck to everyone else :)

Yes Dont worry. Mine had it too :)

megharjun or anyone going through the Mumbai Consulate, please need your help. Am feeling so lost. All the info is thrown at me and I can't make sense of it all. All I know is that I have an interview appointment on November 7 and I should do medical before that. Also, I read the instructions that I should register for passport pickup location. When I created the profile to do that, it asked me to schedule an OFC appointment. What is this , is it photos and biometrics? Does this have to be AFTER the medical? Help!!!

I'm the beneficiary, wife of USC.
12/30/2012: Got engaged.
1/16/2013: Got married in India.

I-130:
2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.
4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
4/16/2014: Reply from NSCFollowup that the U.S. law prohibited that office from responding to anyone other than the petitioner and to have the petitioner contact them.
4/18/2014: Sent email to NVC Research to locate the case.
4/22/2014: Petitioner sent email to NSCFollowup
5/14/2014: Receive email from NVC Research that they do not have a record of receiving the petition.
5/16/2014: Congressman's immigration caseworker contacted supervisor at NSC who said the petition is pending and will be dispatched in two weeks.
5/27/2014: Petitioner received response from NSCFollowup that the case was pending an internal extended review. Really?

Your son has american father in his birth sertificate?

Hi. Were also surpised that my son needs i864w cos we send the i864 but got checklisted. On the checklist, they explain that my husband should file i864w since our son will benefit from the Child Citizenship Act of 2000. On his BC, husband was still a Filipino Citizen, he just naturalized a month after our son's birth. But then, on the factors, son is less than 18, petitioner is a naTuralized USC, and soon will be living in the US upon pursuing permanent residency, so I think he qualifies for the CCA of 2000.
