Hi all - just getting stuff ready for my medical and interview (like to be prepared!)

I know I need to show my DS-260 confirmation at my interview, can anyone shed any light on what this looks like? I've got so many NVC emails in my 'visa' folder in my hotmail, I'm scared I'm looking at the wrong one... Does it say:

"Thank You

Your Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application (DS-260) was sent to the National Visa Center (NVC) for review. Please allow up to 30 business days for the NVC to complete the review."

At the top? And then has a barcode at the bottom?

Thanks in advance

The confirmation is something you print off the portal to take to the interview.

Case Complete to Interview spreadsheet

From now on your VJ Member name will be verified. If the name you put on form to be added to spreadsheet comes up not found, you will not be added to the spreadsheet. If you don't have a timeline you will not be added to the spreadsheet.

Please Please put your VJ member name only. Not nicknames or real names whatever your VJ name is. It's below your profile picture!!

Hi!

My case completed on Oct 7. Daughter's case hasn't completed, yet. Her last scan date 25 Aug.

Our cases are combined. Husband will be able to call to NVC only on October 15, when he returns from a trip. He is a truck driver. We have an empty expedite only for stage "interview".

My question. Will NVC wait for review daughter's case before interview scheduling?

I looked at Interview Spreadsheet and found out Days from Case Complete to Interview for Ukraine was - 8, 12, and 13.

It means I can to have interview date before my daughter's CC (if they will schedule our interviews at different time).

If NVC will send my interview email (P4) only in week .... I will have it just one or two days before interview. How can I have medical?

Maybe consulate won't wont to see my 10 years age daughter, but they wont her medical, too.

My VJ friends, give me, please, directions for my mind. I'm so confused.

No package sent to Montreal, Canada? :bonk: Oh, well. :star:

Maybe this Friday since they send packages on Mondays and Fridays.

Not necessarily. DHL Tracking lists shipments for one day at a time and only includes the first 10 hits or so. You have to specify Canada and search every date separately to check for shipments destined there. Even if you see one, you couldn't tell it includes your case. Really... ceac is your better indicator, unless your consulate rarely gets shipments from NVC, so you would be more confident that it includes yours if you get a search hit.

Yes your interview letter will have your checklist (see first post).

How long does it usually take to get the interview letter? We still haven't received ours and I called this morning to get this rude lady who just hung up on me ?

Fellow Canadians, I was trying to figure out how long it'll take to get the passport and documents back after the interview, but somehow can't seem to find that info. My address in Montreal, which should hopefully speed things up. I'd really like to book my flight to the US ASAP. Thanks!

You will always have a 30 days to prepare no one gets an interview 1 week . Why do you think that. U are getting the #'s confused

Cse Complete to the Interview date assigned you saw is 8 12, 13. The next row is the actual interview date.

Here you go. From your embassies infor page here on VJ. http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Canada&cty=Montreal

Visa issued same day? No ball.gif If not whats the waiting period? Montreal now uses DHL to send your passport and visa back. No need to get the Xpresspost envelope that was previously required. When packet 3 arrives you will be instructed to register for DHL. You will pick the nearest location to you from a drop down menu. The waiting period varies.

m0113.gift9304.gifegyptian.gifegyptian.gifh0403.gifegyptian.gifegyptian.gift9304.gifm0113.gif

We just got the interview email (P4) from NVC. I'm wondering if anyone else has the same confusion: the letter details the documents we need to bring, and there are none. Not a one is listed as I, P, S, T, etc.

Is all the advice on VJ to bring originals and copies just because this process is so f$%^#d up from the start that we don't trust State any farther than we can throw them?

If so, the wasted time and energy we expend in this process must be counted in the trillions of dollars.

And yes, of course my husband will bring originals and copies of everything, DNA samples, candy wrappers from 1998, etc.

I, P, S, T? Huh what is that and happy your well on your way DNA test and all ;)
