Just found out my interview at in London is 4th November.

Okay this is for everyone. Remember that some embassies have DCF and also remember many people get expedites and have to bring all we submit to NVC to embassy. If you were processed through NVC you DO NOT have to go out and get originals and all that all over again.

Yes everyone should have made a copy of the AOS and IV package just for safe keeping. But you do not have to duplicate your self.

Now if anything changed on your AOS yes you need to update it all and bring updated I-864 Transcripts, all that. But no need to go get originals. You are fine.

Thank you very much for clarifying all this!!

Our interview was a disaster. My husband was told we need a co sponsor. I didnt make enough money last year but I make more than enough this year. I provided current paysubs and bank statements. They did not even consider current income. I also have to do a DNA test on our son. I don't care abou the DNA test. I wish NVC would have let me know a co-sponsor would be needed.

Oh no Monalisa! I am so very sorry. Unfortunately, it is like DSWheels said Africa (as a whole) is very different. They require much more than just NCV. NVC wouldn't require a co-sponsor, but most African embassies look at more than just the current year. DNA test is normal as well. Please don't get downhearted, because at least they did not say no. I know you have been waiting a while, but hang in there.Sending prayers and endurance your way.

Oh no! When I read he was taking a flight for the interview same day I thought he should have set off earlier and sure enough his flight was delayed. I hope he has a safe journey and has his interview. We are going to fly out for the interview one day before. In case there is a delay, hopefully we can make alternate arrangements.

It should have been fine. He caught the earliest flight and there is one every 30 minutes. Would've preferred to go up the night before but didn't want to spent the extra money on a hotel. ha ha. He would have gotten there come hell or high water as there were other airlines he could have gotten on as well.

Congratulations Amanda, I am happy everything worked out well for you.

Thank you!!!

Tell your husband he loves drama doesn't he. Man queue the cameras on this roller-coaster ride. Congratulations Amanda. I am thrilled for you both.

Congrats! See you in Seattle once you sell your house! Fingers crossed!

I look forward to meeting you!!! Space Needle here we come!

DSwheels and Saylin I would like to thank you very much for all of your help on this journey. Your detailed instructions and patience with all of us helped me get through a very long process. Your instructions were so detailed that I was able to get through the entire process without a RFE or Checklist. No way could I have done this without you guys and all the members on VJ. I am so moved that you guys volunteer your time to help people in such an amazing and necessary way. I pray for you guys all the time. Soloenta, your moral support for everyone is truly priceless. I have been encouraged just reading some of your replies. You are always in my prayers as well.

P.S. Now you guys help me pray for my hubby's interview.....please....

Congrats!!!!! :) did u check ceac? Did it turn to issued? Or passport pick up?

No, his says "Administrative Processing" I expect it should turn to "Issued" in the next couple of days once they print the visa. Consulate said it might take up to a week to get the passport posted to us (we won't need to pick it up). They gave us the tracking number from the Express Post envelope we provided, so I can keep an eye on it.

Congratulations! Happy to see you near the end of the journey!

Thank you!! And very good luck to you in advance for your interview :). Our ceac status still says "Ready" although the date changed from Oct 1 to OCt 7. Strange how some people who had interview on the 1st and this morning already had theirs issued right away and ours say "Ready". I am just hoping it will be issued before the end of the week :). Keeping my fingers crossed.

I appreciate the kind words and support. But honestly my husband plays pro soccer. This process has delayed his career. We cannot wait any longer. We will just have to live outside the US. I cannot endure this process anymore. They also are saying pending administrative processing. More problems to come.

Oh, I understand. How exciting to be married to a pro soccer player! However, not exciting if you cannot be together as man and wife. He certainly cannot delay his career waiting. I know it is a sacrifice for you to live outside the U.S., but it could be quite an adventure for your little family. I imagine you want your little one to be close to his dad and not waiting any longer also. Please take care and wishing you the very best!

Thank you - I'm actually more nervous about the medical. Will be panicing until I get that bloody thing done now!

I hear you. I was so scared, I did mine before we got cc to get it out the way but it was fine. Just don't tick any boxes without getting a gp letter to take with you. I took a page of a4 with a brief medical history which they appreciated. My blood pressure was high but had gone back down to normal when I got it checked at home. Just chase your gp up to send Knightsbridge the info they want.

Oh dear, don't be so discouraged. Pending administrative processing is related to the additional documents you have to submit after you already had the interview today. Spend a day to feel bad about your interview, but DO pick up yourself tomorrow and get things done. You are almost done with the process, this is just a minor and last obstacle to overcome.

Does he make enough above the poverty guideline to self- sponsor? That is an option.

The AP you are in will be like that until your return the necessary paperwork for the Affidavit of support and also get the DNA test. Don;t lose hope now. I know this is a stomach punch but tomorrow is a new day and clearer heads will prevail.
