So happy to report VISA APPROVED!!!!:dance::dance:

Hubby was in and out in under and hour. He said the lady working at window 7 was a little intimidating as he overheard the people in front of him getting grilled. He was hoping to get another window, but when they called him up "Window 7" ha ha. He said he was sh*tting himself. But, then he tamed the tiger and got approved. It was all very anticlimactic and he wasn't told specifically that he was approved, but she told him all about what would happen with putting the visa in the passport and receiving it in about a week. So, he called me after and said "I think we got approved" and I a was like "What do you mean THINK":rofl: I said as long as they didn't ask you to send anything further and told you they are posting the passport with the visa in it we are approved. I think he was expecting to walk out of there with a piece of paper stamped APPROVED or something.

Funny, in the end we never got asked for a joint sponsor even though my job is not continuing in the States. I had my sister fill everything out in case, but it wasn't needed. However, I did send hubby with a house valuation, bank account info etc. to prove we can provide for ourselves.

Tell your husband he loves drama doesn't he. Man queue the cameras on this roller-coaster ride. Congratulations Amanda. I am thrilled for you both.

Interview went well but I got 221(g) to submit original i864a from mom in law or 2013 joint sponsor W-2 forms I will update the review soon. Can I submit join sponsor w2 xerox copies???

Copies of W2 is fine. The originals pertains to anything with a signature. Glad it was something doable fast. Just a little delay don't be down now.

I have a question, I hope people from this thread can help me.

On Moscow embassy web-site they say that we need to provide:

Copy of original, signed tax returns for the last year (both W-2 and 1040). If copies of tax returns are unavailable, provide transcripts from the IRS.

W2 and 1014 forms that we provided to NVC were just copies of the forms and weren't "signed". My husband says that they were filed by internet so there is no signature or anything. So what do they mean by Copy of original, signed tax returns for the last year (both W-2 and 1040)??

And I was thinking of having my husband get the IRS transcripts, so I wonder if the transcripts that you can get on-line are good enough to take them to interview or are they should be certified somehow?

Please help to understand what they need )))

Okay this is for everyone. Remember that some embassies have DCF and also remember many people get expedites and have to bring all we submit to NVC to embassy. If you were processed through NVC you DO NOT have to go out and get originals and all that all over again.

Yes everyone should have made a copy of the AOS and IV package just for safe keeping. But you do not have to duplicate your self.

Now if anything changed on your AOS yes you need to update it all and bring updated I-864 Transcripts, all that. But no need to go get originals. You are fine.

My interview went well because of all the prayers and positive vibes from you guys. I will have to pickup passport on Oct 9th. Thank you for being supportive. My dear friend Solenta thank you for the prayers. My prayers are for you. Hope everything goes well for you & your hubby. :). The questions CO asked were, how did u meet? What is he doing? How did he go to USA? His brothers name? His work? And asked for wedding pics. That's all. Pls everyone prepare for your interviews. Good luck :)

Awesome. And such sweet kind words. All the best in your new wonderful life with your hunnie. :goofy:

Our interview was a disaster. My husband was told we need a co sponsor. I didnt make enough money last year but I make more than enough this year. I provided current paysubs and bank statements. They did not even consider current income. I also have to do a DNA test on our son. I don't care abou the DNA test. I wish NVC would have let me know a co-sponsor would be needed.

I am so sorry to hear of your delay. But that's all it is. All NVC looks at is current and you made enough. All African embassies I know look at previous year and current. So sorry you didn't know. Sorry to hear about the delay but hurry and get that done The DNA will take about 3 months to complete and get results in and get you back to embassy so you have a little time to find a co-sponsor.

Wifey's visa has been approved! Interview was barely couple of minutes. Was asked basic questions and didn't ask for any further documentations during or after the interview. :):dancing: . She was given immigrant fee form (to pay $165) before departure at the end and was told the passport would be shipped in about a week.

Her online status still shows "Ready" but was updated this morning. Some people who had the interview the same day, got either Admin Processing or Issued as the status the same day. Ours still says ready, Is this common? A bit worried.

dwheels76 - any input would be very helpful & appreciated!!

Sorry to hear that, But I think NVC should have said it before they sent you for the interview? If you make enough according to the poverty guidelines than it shouldn't be any issue. How did NVC didn't say anything?

Thank you for your advice. I'm honestly not sure if we will stay in the US. This is too much.

I guess every consular views the data differently. I was not even told a DNA would be needed as well.

Great thank you!

The only thing that concerns me is that most of who went for interview already saw AP or Issued as their status except few. Also saw couple of random people who status has been "Ready" since their date of interview back in September.

I called up today and spoke to Sarah. She told me my case is complete and I'm in the queue for an interview, so nothing booked yet. Really happy to get that confirmation though :)

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.
