Spoke with Lisa and she gave me the good news.

INTERVIEW SCHEDULED.

NOVEMBER 6. 7am

CONGRATULATIONS!!! :dancing::dancing::dancing:

Well I am a glutton for punishment, so I called again, excited that some people who didn't have dates yesterday had them this morning. Still nothing for me. CC 9/11.

Hang in there sweetie, surely today is your day. Maybe call before midnight to hopefully get your good news before the weekend

Interview scheduled! November 21st.

The Friday before Thanksgiving week isn't exactly the stuff dreams are made of, but I suppose I should be thankful we finally have an interview date.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! :dancing::dancing::dancing:

What a wonderful way to start my day! Reading all of these interview dates!! So excited for my VJ family who are slowly getting through this. Lovely to see lots of dates before Thanksgiving. What a reason to give thanks this year!!! :dancing:

As for us, we are T-3 days to interview. It's my husband that has to go, but my nerves are going crazy! I have butterflies in my tummy every time I think of it! I have "the folder" out to have another good look through to make sure everything is there. I have a feeling they either won't ask him for any of it, or he won't know where to find what they ask for.

I just have to trust everything will work out and he will hopefully hear the magic word "Approved" in a few days. I intend on announcing it at work the next day with some cupcakes with American flags in them. (L) (I have been keeping this move a secret from everyone at work for 16 months and can't wait to spill the beans!)

Well I must say this is the best Friday I have seen on VJ in a year. I am so happy for everyone, it has been a long time coming. My wife is doing backflips. She has been calling all her friends and family today. I can't express my happiness enough, for us as well as for everyone else. Have a beautiful evening and start planning!

No interview date...I am so sad...

After one hour waiting on hold

No interview date so sad :(. :(

That mean i will wait till December interview ?!!

There might still be a chance! Don't lose hope. I honestly did not think I would get an interview date before the weekend. They only started scheduling interviews the last 2 days, there's still time! Have any other people from your same countries received interview dates? Good luck, and fingers crossed you get good news after the weekend.

I'm surprised you called. You started to scare me lately with your newfound fatalism

Congrats and bring back that positive attitude with vengeance.

Warsaw please call.

Third call today, finally interview scheduled!!!

Nov 4th 9:15am

PS. It was Joy today, she definitely was not joyful.

Me:"when can I expect an email? "

Joy:"in few days"

Me:"so two or three days? "

Joy:"sir, I said a few days"

It's not in her nature to spread joy. Scheduling day must drive her bananas... just like a dementor on Valentine's day!

Yeah. NVC can't help themselves. They had to give us this parting gift: 71 days from CC to Interview!

What's going on with your case now? Are you still in AP? Have you heard from the USEM in Kuwait? I've been traveling and the internet is out in my building so I haven't been able to follow everything on VJ.

Nothing yet... I posted an update yesterday here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/516597-the-nvc-october-moral-supportranting-thread/?p=7272408

Mumbai consulate has also joined the party!! We got the interview scheduled for November 26th.

Although I am relieved on getting a date, not feeling very happy since it is pretty much the farthest date possible. It is also not a convenient week for my wife to travel to Mumbai.

Our case was first completed on 9/10 ..so barely missed the October interview dates scheduling. Then we got a second case complete on 9/25 - This is after NVC reviewed a mysterious 3rd package (Not the AOS or IV packet we sent). Not sure if all this played into us getting a farther interview date but I guess so.

Another confusing thing is November 26th is the last Wednesday in November.. Mumbai consulate website states, they are closed for consular services on the second and last Wednesdays of the month. So i am not sure how they managed to get Nov 26th date scheduled.

BTW, anyone with recent experience with rescheduling Mumbai counsulate interview? How do you go about doing it? Are we expected to register with http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ and reschedule via this website??

NOA1 - Sep 26,2013

Praise God!

Just called NVC and they told me that my INTERVIEW DATE is on Nov 25th 12.30p at US Embassy in Jakarta. The Rep said just wait another 5-10 days to get the Instruction Email for that.

my CC on Sept 22 ( Found out my CC date by calling them too )

Some of you better start to call NVC again now :)

Okay.. now i have a question to ask..

My Passport will expired less than 6 month which is in early February 2015. My question is can i use this passport to bring to the interview? The thing is.. i can't renew my passport since my birth certificate is at NVC. To renew my passport requires original or certified copied which i don't have with me now.

I remember awhile ago i asked twice with rep at NVC over the phone.. first one told me he has no rights to say it.. and the second rep.. she said it should be fine.

Seems for me should be fine .. since this is one way trip to US.. and planning to renew my Passport at Indonesia Embassy in Los Angeles .. right after i arrived there. BUT again... i'm not sure about it. Maybe any of you knows and have ideas? I prefer someone who knows about my situation to answer this question.

Thanks much VJ Admins & members!!

God bless

Worst case scenario: At the interview you will be given back all your originals (if you have provided copies) and the CO will put your approval/visa on hold until you get a new passport. About the last thing you want to happen.

If I were you, I'd get a replacement birth certificate and a new passport now to bring to the interview.

Don't rely on what NVC reps say. Check DOS guidelines or contact embassy direct on this matter.
