Interview scheduled for December 16th!! I had requested an expedite and received an email that stated the Sydney consulate has accepted our request, and NVC has scheduled my husbands interview for Dec 16th. Not quite sure where the expedite part comes in, but I'm happy!

Oh montreal can be really fun ..even on snow days….sun is mostly always shining even when we have negative numbers weather days.

And yes, walk down St Denis and up the mont royal mountain, its fun… lost of fun people and a different atmosphere….i think you will enjoy it.

St Josef oratory is nice too…lots of steps…I can see it from my office window…LOL

oh and i almost forgot….you can have POUTINE….if its cold….its an "acquired" taste…but its frenchfries and cheese ( you can never go wrong with it!!)… .. with loads of beer…YAY!!!

That's weird I typed a reply to TargetNovember but it did not post. (hopefully this does not double post)

I am grateful for the nice weather we have been having and I'm looking forward to our time in Montreal, it will be a nice break. Thanks for the tips on what to do, sounds way better than sitting in the room for a week worrying myself sick about the interview!

Hello All,

My husband has a Nov 18, 2014 interview in Dominican Republic. Of course I will be attending. People like to opine negitively regarding the out come of these interviews. I am an educated american citizen, daughter of Dominican parents. I am 15 years elder my husband (I don't look my age at all). Everyone is telling us that they will give us a hard time because of our age difference. We were also told that because I am the elder, I will get grilled. My answe to that is I really don't mind. I have a plethera of phone bills, whatsapp messsages, texts, shutterfly photo ablums etc. Ever since we met, I have traveled every two months making that a total of 27 times in the last 2 1/2 years we have together.

Are they so rude at these interviews to the point of insulting and embarrasing us becuase of our age differnce?

Can someone really be honest with me regarding what I should expect. It will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

This maybe better answered in the DR form. But I know some who have gone through DR and it can be grueling. No one can say yes or no about how bad.

Expect a stokes interview where they separate you and you be questioned. It's not about being rude. It's about making sure your relationship is bonafide. Sometimes they through crazy stuff at you to see your reaction.

Like asking the man "why would you marry a woman older than you that can't give you children?"

At this point just relax and go with the flow.

hello Dilmera

My PD is september 10 2013, unable to figure out when will they schedule my interview date. i got my cc on october 27 2014. Can you help me out.

It's not about you figuring it out. When you get Case Complete you are put in the interview queue.

Each month every embassy sends to NVC slots that are open for IR1/CR1 interviews. NVC fills the slots. They either run-out of slots or they run out of petitions for the slots.

If there are like 10 slots open for the month and 12 people this is where a PD can get you over someone else .

So all you can do is wait and hold on.
