at least we have a date already.. What time is your interview? Are you going with you beneficiary?

Our interview is also December 15; we were hoping for an interview during the first week of December.

That's true. I'm applying for my step-daughter (IR2) so my husband will attend the interview with his daughter; I will stay in the US with our kids. The interview is at 7:15 am.

12/15/2014: Interview -- Visa Approved!

A very happy status update: My wife's visa was approved at her interview this morning in London.

I will write up a more detailed review later but here is the quick version:

I went with her to the embassy but I did not go in. We arrived around 7:15am. I waited at a coffee shop around the corner. Everyone at the embassy was friendly and helpful. She was inside in under 15 minutes. She waited 15 minutes for her number to be called, then spent about 15/20 minutes at the first window going over her documents and answering some questions. There was another 15 minute wait before the actual interview at the second window. The interview took only 5 minutes and she was asked only three questions:

- How long have you been married?

- Where is your husband now?

- What do you plan to do after you arrive in the USA?

Then the agent said she was approved.

All in all, she was out of there and back with me in an hour and a half.

One thing to note is they didn't want to take my updated I-864. I moved on October 1st and was hoping they would take a new one with my new address. They would have none of that! I guess I will need to file the paperwork with USCIS to let them know of my change of address?

Around the time the agent mentioned the words "approved", the CEAC case status changed to "Administrative Processing."

We filed the I-130 almost 14 months ago. It feels like an eternity. I can't say I enjoyed all the uncertainty and waiting of this past year. I'm thrilled to have all of that now behind us!

Wonderful news! This was so great to wake up to and read this morning!!!! Huge congratulations. Please let us know how it goes with getting it issued and received and POE! Thrilled for you and your wife!!

Congratulations…. you are finally out of there….and i believe you will have an interview in december….woohoo…now just hoping for samreen and soloenta to make it through. :dancing::goofy:

You know dilmera I am wondering the same thing. I think our CC may be as simple as it was our turn. I don't think the supervisor did anything. Still, I guess we will never know. Do they schedule a whole country together for interviews. It is all new to me this bit.

Woohoo….the weather will be nice….and it will be fun….if you haven't been before…definitely check out the St josef oratory and walk up mont royal mountain.…it will be LOADS of fun...

We leave for our interview in Montreal on Sunday, wow that came fast! Today was my last day at work before our trip, and we are putting our house up for sale the day we get back so life has been a whirlwind!

Combined air miles with credit card points to get 2 round trip flights to montreal for only $12, was super happy about that! The hotel we are staying in has a pool and hot tub, we are there for 5 days for the medical and then interview so I will definitely be making use of those.

Like the poster from Winnipeg, I didn't get the RCMP police certificate only the Winnipeg one with National Criminal Records search box checked off so hopefully that will be enough, if it is not there is no time to do anything else at this point. I have not gotten any extra checklists or requests for info from the consulate so I am really hoping we will be okay.

Like the poster from Alberta, we will be doing our medical and interview all on the same trip, medisys told me they need 3 business days to process results, I gave them 4 just to be safe. I'm grateful that our interview fell on a Friday so we don't have to stay for the weekend when no processing is being done anyway.

Tonight I have to finish packing our bags and getting the final touches put on the immigration binder, tomorrow a trip to the spa for a couples massage, the perfect way to unwind from all this stress before the interview so we can be relaxed and natural. SO excited to move on to the next part of our lives already!

Thanks! I'll update the thread with how things work out with respect to getting the visa issued and then delivered via the courier. POE may be a few weeks or possibly even further out. We'll plan that out next week after we get her visa in hand. I'm in London right now anyway so we're not in a massive hurry.

I'm the USC petitioner. My wife is British (now a USC!!!), generally awesome, and amazingly patient.

Guys, Guys.... GUYS!!!

Interview December 23rd!! Long time away but I don't care I'm just over the moon right now!!! :dancing::dance:

Yay, finally! Congrats!

Called and got date of Dec. 24th for the interview. I will be trying for an earlier one for sure. None the less, totally stoked at whichever date it takes place.

I am surprised they're doing it on Christmas Eve :) It's like half of a holiday here. But will be the best Christmas present for you ever ;)

Hi everyone,

I am finally here after eight months at NVC. You will probably start a new thread in a day or so but just wanted to say hi. I think I will do some reading and catch up what has been going on with you all.

Congratulations! So so happy for you after all this time of waiting

hi. I don't know of a country-specific thread, but there are reviews of the Mumbai Consulate. About the delay from CC to interview scheduled, it does not work like after x days of CC, you'll get interview scheduled. Irrespective of when you got your CC, interview will be scheduled around the end of each month and beginning of month. People with earlier priority dates get earlier interviews. Sometimes, there is a second scheduling round, but last month there wasn't any. Last time interviews were scheduled, India was among the last ones to schedule interviews. I got interview scheduled on October 3. If anyone from India reports getting an interview date here, you can call or call everyday starting Monday until you have an interview date or the scheduling is over; it's up to you. The interview date is not available on CEAC and you will get an email, P4, usually within a week.

hello Dilmera

My PD is september 10 2013, unable to figure out when will they schedule my interview date. i got my cc on october 27 2014. Can you help me out.
