Got Dec 1 interview also for my wife. How'd you know the date for medical? Did you receive the appointment letter already?

Medical exam is walk-in, first-come, first-served basis. I don't have the Appointment letter but we should have it before they do their medical exam date. Congrats!

Got my interview date Dec. 16 2014

they started scheduling for the Philippines yesterday according to CSR

Yes, that's what they told me too, that they scheduled ours yesterday. Congrats!

Yeah same here. Just one week to the interview.

11 days until my interview! :star: Can't wait! :content:

Actually... I can... since I haven't even put my interview documents together. :oops:

So I can use at least 2-3 days to prepare for my interview. :rofl::rofl::rofl:

The week seems to be dragging by...won't rest until we have the visa in hand and actually get through POE...I didn't think I would be this nervous but after 17 months of waiting, I am on pins and needles! Good luck with your interview!

I'm not nervous at all after 13 months! :oops: Should I be more nervous? :rofl::rofl::rofl:

I am so happy to see you are so close! Now get busy and get organized! Hahahahaha

I am just getting our interview documents together now. The lawyer just sent 2 inches of docs, plus what I have. Now I have to sort it out and categorize, see if I am missing anything etc. My wifes interview is in 2 weeks from today. I am leaving for Bogota in 12 days. I am hoping she will have a POE on 2 Dec. That is what we have planned.

* Tickets ready? Check!

* Movers ready? Check!

* Shipping ready? Check!

* Wife ready? Check!

* Me ready? Ummmmmmmm, getting a little nervous! hahahaha

I have a ton of people asking me everyday when will she arrive. Many, many Colombians are also waiting on her to arrive...people she has not even met yet, but are friending her on Facebook in anticipation! hahahaha

So guys I need some advice.My husband is a former US air force. He just got separated last September 22. He got a new job now but income is on poverty line. Do you think it's going to be an issue for my upcoming interview?

Yes it will be a problem if you submit new AOS they will make you get a co-sponsor. Don't know what to tell you.

Does anyone know if there is any kind of fee due at the time of the interview at the consulate? We have obviously paid our IV and AOS fees to NVC, but I need to know how much $$ to bring to the interview. Thanks!

No money is required at embassy. You may want to check your embassy for delivery fee if there is one. I know some have a delivery of Visa to you that you pay some you just pick up.

The only fee to pay is online on ELIS the $165. But nothing at embassy.

Here you go from the Info page here.

Visa issued same day? No ball.gif If not whats the waiting period?

"7 to 10 working days. It is mailed through TNT. You must arrange for TNT to deliver to any of their offices near you in advance at http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ua/when scheduling your interview. TNT does not deliver to the recipient, but only to their offices. You must then go pick it up from them. There is no extra charge for the delivery."

I had the interview yesterday. The whole experience took like 25-30 minutes. First in the embassy they got me through metal detector and checked all I was carrying, after that they sent me in the building where I was having the interview, a nice lady asked for my passport, for my renewed police certificate, the TNT confirmation (this is only for Romania) and all the proofs of relationship. This took like maximum 5 minutes. After the CO called my name, took my fingerprints and my oath. The consul asked me how we met, how many times my husband visited me and when we married. And that was all! He said "Congratulations, your visa is approved! You can pick it up on monday. Welcome to America!" On the website it showed ISSUED in less than an hour after the interview. I am so happy!!!! POE is on Boston on the 7th Nov. Yaaaaay!!!!!!!! Good luck to everyone!!! :dancing:(L):dancing: :joy: :dancing:

Congratulations. I love reading how people say it was a breeze. It was easy. So happy for you too. Now home to your hunny.
