NVC schedules interview either the last two days of the month or the beginning two days of the following month. For this month they will either begin oct 30th, 31st OR nov 3rd and 4th.

I'd say to save yourself the trouble of being on hold for hours and wait until those dates. :idea:

Also, once they schedule your interview, you get the interview letter within 2 days. You won't have to wait for weeks to hear the good news, if you decide to not call them. :star:

My Japanese friends received interview dates on Oct 17 for Oct 7/10 cc dates.

It depends on which country we are from?

Interview scheduled! November 21st. The Friday before Thanksgiving week isn't exactly the stuff dreams are made of, but I suppose I should be thankful we finally have an interview date.

My Japanese friends received interview dates on Oct 17 for Oct 7/10 cc dates.

It depends on which country we are from?

NVC mystery lol!

Oh no that's because they do a second round of interviews around mid month. Sometimes it depends on the embassies, but I believe there are very selective ones.

I wonder if all us Canadians who are waiting right now will get our interviews the same day haha. I guess we should bring a paper and hold it up with our usernames on it if that happens :P

I am new to the conversation and i have a question for you. Did you ever receive the 60 days letter?

NVC is reviewing checklists faster now? Oct 2 to October 21 is just 19 days. Or has it happened only in your case?

 

 

I'm the beneficiary, wife of USC.
12/30/2012: Got engaged.
1/16/2013: Got married in India.

I-130:
2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.
4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
4/16/2014: Reply from NSCFollowup that the U.S. law prohibited that office from responding to anyone other than the petitioner and to have the petitioner contact them.
4/18/2014: Sent email to NVC Research to locate the case.
4/22/2014: Petitioner sent email to NSCFollowup
5/14/2014: Receive email from NVC Research that they do not have a record of receiving the petition.

Dwheels, you couldn't have put it better and stop apologizing. I am just a newcomer with little knowledge of this process compared to what you have seen. I have wanted to be on this thread since March when I got the NOA2. I finally made it seven months later. Feel privileged to be on here ma'm and benefit from things posted here.

USCIS ELIS fee paid on 20th Oct status is showing "Your application/petition has been accepted and is pending review." what does this mean??

FYI - I got case complete on Sept. 26th and my docs were not mailed to the Embassy until October 14th.

I got case complete on September 30 and my file was sent to the consulate on October 17, arrived October 20.

Not always two days to get interview letter. My interview was scheduled on October 3 and I got the interview email on October 9.

May I ask when is your interview date? I called NVC yesterday and we have a case complete. Just wondering if Sydney has started giving out interviews for December?

Not always two days to get interview letter. My interview was scheduled on October 3 and I got the interview email on October 9.

Really :wow: I thought they always sent it in within 2-3 business days. Guess you never know with NVC after all. :bonk:

For Indian applicants, I scheduled my OFC appointment, but rescheduled when I saw checklist of what to bring to the appointment:

● Appointment confirmation letter

● Your current passport and most recently expired passport

● Print out of the DS-260 confirmation page

● Police clearance certificate from the regional passport office

● Medical report (X-ray films and discs not required)

● Original and photocopy of birth and marriage certificates.

● Affidavit of Support (Form I-864), sponsor's recent tax returns, job letter, and pay stub.

● Proof of relationship between petitioner and beneficiary

I don't have the Affidavit of Support (Form I-864), sponsor's recent tax returns, job letter, and pay stub. I have tax transcripts of last three years. My husband, the petitioner, is coming down for the interview and said he'd bring the documents with him. I rescheduled my OFC appointment to day after he comes so I could take the missing documents with me.

Do we again need affidavit of support documents of we have already submitted it?

And does photocopy of all those documents would work?

Because in official website of NVC says if you have submitted i864 then no need to bring it again.

Are you sure the Police clearance certificate and the last three items are needed? We have already submitted these to NVC, so maybe these are to be submitted for (say) K-1 applicants who submit these to the embassy and not the NVC. Calling OFC may be in order...
