Interview scheduled! November 21st. The Friday before Thanksgiving week isn't exactly the stuff dreams are made of, but I suppose I should be thankful we finally have an interview date.

When I check CEAC it still says At NVC I'm going to wait a week (if I can last that long) and call again.

FYI - I got case complete on Sept. 26th and my docs were not mailed to the Embassy until October 14th.

Hi all, I've been searching for answers to this question in the Wikis, this thread, and the general search, but I cannot seem to find an answer. Our case was expedited at the NVC last week (whew!), and I got what I believe is Packet 4 over email (interview date, medical information, etc.). I cannot believe we have the interview already in 16 days!

Anyway, my question is this: What is Packet 3 and how do I get it? Do I even need it? Or is it a relic of an old procedure?

When using the search function, I found a couple of discussions about packet three, but they were over six years old and everything changes often in this process. Thanks in advance!

06-11-2014: NOA2, I-130 Approved!

06-26-2014: Arrived at NVC
07-10-2014: Case # and IIN assigned
07-28-2014: D-261 available & submitted/AOS fee invoiced
07-29-2014: AOS fee paid
07-31-2014: AOS package sent
08-04-2014: AOS package scanned by NVC
08-08-2014: Amended I-864EZ re-sent (I stupidly put AGI instead of Total Income on the form)

Packet 3 (issued by the embassy/consulate) only applies to K-people and asks them to submit the civil docs, for example, which you already did during the NVC process. So don't worry about it ;) Good luck!

My Ceac says issued but my embassy sends to dhl so I thought what you posted was for that and I signed up lol

I guess every country does it different. Thanks for clarifying.

Hmmmm there's no tracking number they handed you at interview. Then I have no idea I would ask in your countries forum how to know.

Maybe tomorrow :) cheer up ! :)

NVC schedules interview either the last two days of the month or the beginning two days of the following month. For this month they will either begin oct 30th, 31st OR nov 3rd and 4th.

I'd say to save yourself the trouble of being on hold for hours and wait until those dates. :idea:

Also, once they schedule your interview, you get the interview letter within 2 days. You won't have to wait for weeks to hear the good news, if you decide to not call them. :star:

I got the air way bill number it says in transit :)))) hopefully it arrives soon.
