yeah sure..

i reached the shuttle service at 5:30.. then we got inside to get shuttle ticket at 6 oclock.. they give us ticket for shuttle at 6:30.. we reached to embassy i think at 7 oclock.. the embassy was closed and we were waiting in bus.. so we waited i think 20 mints..then we got off the car..

we were given the token number outside the embassy, we entered there for finger print first.. then submitted the medicle report and passport along with 2 passport size photoes 2 by 2.. then waited for the 3rd window where there was american girl who interviewd me. she was nice..

she asked.

first i did oat in urdu then she asked the following questions

how did you meet?

who is the co sponsor?

have you ever been outside of pakistan and Afghanistan?

have you ever convicted any crime?

what will you do in US?

where is your wife living in US?

is she with family or alone?

who are living with her?

can you show me the pakistani nikka nama?

what is your job in pakistan?

then at the end she congratulated me and told me to pick my passport within a week?

so i said thank you so much and i had a pashtoon translator too.. he also congratulated me.. and she was smiling :D

i didn't believe it...... so i step back and asked her can i go now ma'am,, she said with a smile yeah sure you can go.. and she took my passport...thats all :D

Congratulations :-)

i was just wondering.. if someone is going Islamabad from other city like Karachi, will they have to stay in Islamabad to pick up the passport? or they give choice to pick it from Karachi embassy?

My husband will be flying home in few days time. please i would like to ask how many hours do you think will be enough to process him at JFK port of entry for an IR-1 visa because he will need to check into another flight going from JFK to Atlanta and another flight to Montgomery Alabama. We found a cheaper price but the stop over time is 3hours . so he need to be done with the POE within 2 hours so as for him to quickly get his luggage and check into this new fight. So do you think 2 hours will be enough at the POE in JFK?

Hello everyone. Just got back from my interview from the embassy.

APPROVED!!!! YAYYYY!!! It was unbelievable; it still does not feel real.

I was asked the following questions:

Have you been married before?

Do you have any children?

Have you lived anywhere outside Ghana?

When and where did you meet your husband?

How many times did you see him before you guys got married?

How many times have you seen him since you got married?

She then shows me a pic of my husband and my siblings and asks who they were.

Do you plan on working as a physician in the USA?

She then says; all is set. Thank you very much for bringing so much evidence. This is the best case I have seen since I've been in Ghana.

Then she hands over my documents to me: then says I should pick up my passport on Wednesday afternoon at 15:30.

I said thanks....and she handed me the blue slip...

Yayyy....I'm so excited.

Thanks so much everyone on VJ. The information here is so amazing.

Dwheels and Darnell good job!

I'll post a more detailed review on my country portal (GHANA).

All the best everyone.
