Yeah, I wouldn't have known about it either if I hadn't read about it on VJ! There are official instructions on the embassy's website about it too: http://london.usembassy.gov/mail.html

I think worst case scenario, if you haven't arranged anything on the courier's website, they let you do it at the interview but they get a bit shirty about it. Your mileage may vary!

I'll take this to the UK forum so as not to clog up here!

2 WEEKS to get your medical results!? :wow:

Actually, I went to the doctor in BC (since I live in Vancouver) and got my results the next day!

Oops! Oh Vancouver! I don't know how I got that mixed up. Sorry I hope I didn't offend! On a side note: I lived in Vancouver for 6 years. Definitely looking forward to being back out west!

applicants who are gonna have their interviews at US EMBASSY in ANKARA in NOVEMBER !! please join this thread

i feel so lonely in this thread :( i wish there were few applicants who r having the interview in ankara so we could talk about how their interviews went..

3 weeks left!! :)

"Sigh"

Well one if you would update your profile and have your country of interview flag up this would help people find you. When you post a topic it doesn't land in your country's portal. So update.

Also you can always open up your own topic t seek out Ankara people. But you need to update your profile. So please put up the Turkey flag.

Congratulations! I think it just changes to that until they issue it. I don't think it's anything to worry about. InshAllah you'll have it within the week.

Can you please share the experience and what questions were asked?

yeah sure..

i reached the shuttle service at 5:30.. then we got inside to get shuttle ticket at 6 oclock.. they give us ticket for shuttle at 6:30.. we reached to embassy i think at 7 oclock.. the embassy was closed and we were waiting in bus.. so we waited i think 20 mints..then we got off the car..

we were given the token number outside the embassy, we entered there for finger print first.. then submitted the medicle report and passport along with 2 passport size photoes 2 by 2.. then waited for the 3rd window where there was american girl who interviewd me. she was nice..

she asked.

first i did oat in urdu then she asked the following questions

how did you meet?

who is the co sponsor?

have you ever been outside of pakistan and Afghanistan?

have you ever convicted any crime?

what will you do in US?

where is your wife living in US?

is she with family or alone?

who are living with her?

can you show me the pakistani nikka nama?

what is your job in pakistan?

then at the end she congratulated me and told me to pick my passport within a week?

so i said thank you so much and i had a pashtoon translator too.. he also congratulated me.. and she was smiling :D

i didn't believe it...... so i step back and asked her can i go now ma'am,, she said with a smile yeah sure you can go.. and she took my passport...thats all :D
