Unless you were approved for an expedite your casefile stays at NVC until they schedule your interview. Once you are scheduled than they will ship off your casefile. Hopefully end of this week scheduling may start.

Thank you! I read the first page before asking too but I'm a bit thick when it comes to this whole thing lol those 17 months got me good !

And I'm confused about who does the scheduling Nvc?

Cause when my husband called the rep told him they don't know anything about interviews and that they are just sending the papers

My husband will be flying home in few days time. please i would like to ask how many hours do you think will be enough to process him at JFK port of entry for an IR-1 visa because he will need to check into another flight going from JFK to Atlanta and another flight to Montgomery Alabama. We found a cheaper price but the stop over time is 3hours . so he need to be done with the POE within 2 hours so as for him to quickly get his luggage and check into this new fight. So do you think 2 hours will be enough at the POE in JFK?

It took us 10 minutes to get to the head of the immigration line, and another 10 minutes in secondary. But...we were the only flight they were processing at our terminal (#1) and we were near the front of the plane. I think 2 hours is doable! Best of luck. I'm originally from Birmingham...

Look at that you have your flag up. Pass the time. Start packing and giving away stuff. Google where you going to live polish up your resume. Check the market you should already have a list of networking folk you can hit up soon as you land. Where is the SS office and drivers license place.

The food markets in your city or town where are they so you can still get your favorite foods. Ohhhhh there is so much you can do.

Then there's always here on this thread chatter. :goofy:

haha yea i finally figured out how to update the profile :D haha

i give u the credits for that! :)

well, my love is so gonna pick me up from SFO Airport, and gonna stay with her in the flat (that she is sharing witha flatmate at stanford campus) and after i get there, we will apply for couples housing!

she already planned where we're gonna be travelling in cali during the christmass vacation! but i'm so worried if i get A.P then i won't make it.. :cry2::(

I HOPE I DONT GET AP (the nightmare)

i mean everycase eventually go through ap before getting issued but that is different its only for few hours or maybe days but not months..

anyway, i'll see how the interview goes

Longest AP a few weeks. So Holidays here you come. Student housing. Oh to be young again I remember my dorm days. Oh memories.

Timeline

November interviews are complete. I am talking of people in the queue now are waiting fro December dates.

Well of course October is out. And November is done. You would have to request an earlier date once you get your interview date. Unlikely to get only a few embassies accommodate earlier dates (UK is wonderful on that point).

Oh I understand that October (obviously) is done and November is most likely done. I have just read on the first page of your thread that NVC begins the next round of scheduling at the end of each month (i.e., end of October)/ beginning of the next month (i.e., beginning of November) for the following month (i.e., December).

From looking at the spreadsheet it looks like most people with CCs at the end of the month get interviews scheduled during the beginning of the next month, with the interview dates sometime in the month after that, obviously depending on the volume the Embassy is dealing with. For the few Chile cases I've seen, it seems like we will probably get a December interview.

Am I crazy? Does that make sense? Or should I be mentally preparing myself for a January interview?

Thanks again for hearing me out!

Well I got an email from Montreal finally. They want a new Canada police certificate but I got mine from my town police in September so it's only 2 months old. I wonder if they mean go get an rcmp version or something? Eh... They also want my husbands BC but I figured that from everyone else posting about it :P

I suggest that you get a police certificate from RCMP.

There was someone who got a police certificate from their local police station.

The Montreal Consulate told them that it wasn't good enough. :bonk:

I HOPE I DONT GET AP (the nightmare)

I also hope I don't get AP! :star: Fingers crossed!

Okay lets start predicting. With November being a few days short for Thanksgiving. I don;t think they will start scheduling next week. I think it will start maybe as early as Wednesday,

How many think this week they will start?

I do hope they will start scheduling from this week:)

Many Japanese ppl who got cc on Oct 7-10 received an interview date on Oct 17. It seems taking 7-10days..

Like everyone else, I do wanna know the interview date so bad hehe.

I suggest that you get a police certificate from RCMP.

There was someone who got a police certificate from their local police station.

The Montreal Consulate told them that it wasn't good enough. :bonk:

I also hope I don't get AP! :star: Fingers crossed!

Are you kidding me?! I have a regional police cert. And a police cert from the country I was living in for 4 years. They didn't ask me for a new police cert. They did ask for husband's birth cert and kids' US citizenship proof. What do I do?!
