AOS question...didn't file my taxes this past year.

I haven't filed my taxes for this past year. Will that be a problem for the AOS? I don't owe money to the government. I'll be getting money back when I actually file them. I've just been really busy this year and haven't had time to file them yet.

By the time you get approval and to NVC where your Affidavit of support will be requested and yes you will have had to file along with I am sure we will be in 2014 tax filing time also by then.

So if you get to NVC before March 2015 and send in your AOS package your 2013, 2012, 2011 will be required . However at interview they will want your 2014.

USCIS doesn't care about your AOS (we are talking Affidavit of support right not Adjustment of status)?

yes it's a requirement of the I-864 to have filed your taxes for the last 3 years or have a very good reason why not.

Ok I'll file them as soon as I can. And it's ok if I only have 2 tax returns since I only started working 2 years ago? My parents filed me as a dependent 3 years ago on their taxes.
