sometimes I wish I would've sent my petition when I was unemployed back in May. At least I would have had 5 months of waiting down. I got a job in late August so I filed the first week of September. One month down, 4,5,6,7,8 or 9 more to go.

yeah I understand I had the same problem as well but its ok after the approval the process will go really fast.

I received my NOA1 July 23rd still haven't heard anything yet last time I called USCIS they said TSC is processing February applications and I don't know really if that has changed, so for now all I can do Is pray and be patient even though it can be hard sometimes, but have to keep hopes up and just pray that TSC speeds things up to have our loved ones for the holidays.

Yeah, I figured with the Affadavit of Support that maybe I could just gamble and hope to have a job before I got it; however, this process is so important that I don't even want to give the consulate a reason to think of denying us. Consulates are allowed to use the Affadavit to their discretion; the can ignore it even. So actually having a verifiable employment with a few months paystubs was worth it I guess.

U may want to consider correcting ur timeline information to get a better idea of ur adjudication date. Ur state is processed by the California Service Cenyer. (CSC). U were not transferred. All petitions are sent to the Texas lockbox which is different from the Texas Service Center.

I received NOA1 on 7/28. Haven't heard anything yet. Best of luck!

Ok.. Thank u

I'm a June filer and from our forum most of us are feeling like they will start June very soon at TSC. If you are at CSC then it might be different because I don't know how you will be affected by the transfers. Looks like they are working on April/May. Defo too early to panic though.

Just so you know, some consulates are very specific about the requirements for the Affidavit of Support. We just went through the process in Ireland, and the sponsor was required to provide a complete tax return with W2 and had to have been employed for the past 12 months, and there so no exception. My fiance said there was a girl interviewing at the same time as him and her fiance sponsored her, but she was denied until further notice because he'd only been working the past 8 months.

It could be completely different at your consulate, but it's worth investigating to figure out whether or not you'll need a cosponsor for your visa. Just a heads up!

I am the petitioner.

There is so much conflicting information, that is why I went ahead and asked my parents to be a co-sponsor. In my case, I will probably have 6 months of continued employment (albeit making well above the threshold). I am afraid; however, in my case, a "surprise" pregnancy may cause the consulate to deny our visa. I will just have to wait.

We understand the timeline process and the tentativeness of projections in moving through the steps. We've been a couple since 2008 and engaged for a year now so we've learned to be patient. Until a year ago as a same-sex couple we never thought this possible. We are happy for each day that brings us closer to the day we can get married, one month or six months or more is no issue for us. The end goal for our life together is closer than ever. And that keeps hope alive. Hang in there everyone.

Hey guys. How many people who filed July 16 upwards have gotten your NOA2. I am getting worried since I haven't receive my Nao2 as yet. Thank you

Your filing data is confusing one says Texas other says California?

But as to the question, We received NOA1 Aug. 5 and we are waiting as well.
