worried about evidence of meeting and ongoing relationship

I don't feel like I have enough evidence to submit. We have been together for 2 years and 2 months. Our first face-to-face meeting was in July 2012 and we've seen each other 13 times (weeks at a time) since.

Problem is we're not picture people. The only pictures we really have are "selfies" with each other (we only have one photo with other people in it too). I included 8 photos (with dates and locations on back) in our packet. I'm afraid since all the pictures kind of look alike, it won't be enough.

The other problem I'm worried about is that we don't have any boarding passes, passport stamps, or anything like that. We drive across the US/Canada border to see each other. He did get a border crossing report from Canada Border services showing only when he crossed back into Canada. I sent in for my border crossing report from Department of Homeland Security a while ago and haven't got anything back from them.

I did make copies of my receipts from the last time I was with him in Canada (this month) and he gave me his credit card statement showing charges he made here last time he was here to see me.

I'm not sure what else I can include? We use Skype to talk daily. Do they even consider Skype call logs?

Thanks,

Shelley

well my wife and I are the same, we are not picture people and most of our photos are selfies together but in different location and different countries, we have very few photos of us taken by someone who i asked to take a pic for us while we are infront of some famous spots in that countries, but we do have boarding passes and passport stamps for all the visits and trips

The immigration process caused me PTSD.

Sounds like plenty to me. I provided just one photo of my fiancee and I together plus a couple passport stamps and a couple boarding passes. It was enough to get a NOA2. My fiancee will have a few more photos and an additional boarding pass to bring to the interview to show the ongoing relationship. Since you two are within driving distance of one another, I think your 8 photos is fine, and his border crossing report should be icing on the cake. Assuming you two meet again before the visa interview, just take more photos together.

The border crossing documentation, receipts and credit/bank statements showing you were in the same place visiting are more important than photos. The Skype logs do not prove you met in person. You can still include a small sampling of them, spread throughout the entire length of your relationship as added proof of ongoing relationship. They are not required for the I-129F petition though.

my fiance and I submitted photos of us which were mostly selfies and a very few photos of us taken by other people. We got approved and everything is fine. I would try to get the evidence of the stamps/proof in the passport that you guys visited each other. Otherwise u should be fine i think

Don't be worry too much as Canada is not considered a high risk country.

We only submit a copy of joint bank account statement and we just got a RFE for photocopy of original married certificate as we had only send in the registration and after about 6 weeks we got the original.

Submit with what you have if they need anything they will request it from you, try and take some pics together and gather some evidence for interview time .

Good Luck.

Don't worry bout not having too much hard copy pics. I had all my pics on my phone and you guys meeting for like 13 times is enough evidence that it's a good ongoing relationship

I guess that's not a big problem, my fiancee and I did not have a picture together when we met here. I have only one before but it got deleted. So, what I have is our skype screenshot together when we talk. As long as you can provide what they need most importantly the affidavit of support.. people at the consulte was very accomdating.as long as you know how to answer their questions that related to your spouse or fiancee be truthful and give them a nice bunch of smile.. good luck and God bless

Thank you everyone for your replies. I feel better about it. I'm going to wait a few more days to see if I get my border crossing report, if it doesn't come by Friday, I'm just going to send in our first packet on Saturday without it. So excited! :)

Don't worry overmuch. If they're concerned, they'll ask you, and since you've known each other for over 2 years, you'll be able to answer any questions they have. Try not to worry.

How do you pay when you visit each other? Bank statements showing cash withdrawn, currency exchange or card transactions could work, too. If you don't have online banking, most banks and card providers are able to generate statements for previous years, even if they charge a nominal fee for the service.
