I-797 NOA Rejection Notice - check amount incorrect

Hello,
I am US Citizen and I submitted case for my husband for Adjustment of Status:
*I-485 ($985 + $85 = 1070)
*I-130 ($420)
*I-765 (380)
*I-864 (no fee)
I submitted Money Order for Total of $1870.
However I received whole case back with I-797 NOA Rejection Notice for I-485, I-130 and I-765 with explanation:
"...the check amount is incorrect, or has not been provided...."
My question is: is the reason of rejection notice fact that I submitted one check for all forms? In memo part on the check I made note what forms the check covers.

Thank you so much for help.
Bea

Well only thing I can think of is that you're probably supposed to send separate checks AND more importantly, that there is no fee for the i765 when filing concurrently with i485/i130. In other words, you made out a check that's too big. The amount is incorrect... (it should be 1490 in total, but i would just make out two checks: 1070/420).

Bad news: delay

Good news: you saved 380 dollars

Hi, I also received I-797 C Notice of Action rejection notice.

I submitted in one check because that's the officer in Info pass told me.

I wrote out 2230

I-130 $420

I-485 $(985+85)

I-131 $360

I-765 $380

Am I not supposed to pay for I-131 and I-765 if I file everything together?

I am so confused and the paper only indicated "incorrect check amount" without further instruction!

Your help will be highly appreciated!!!!

Thank you very much

The rules (somewhere) state they want two separate checks, even as made out to same: US Department of Homeland Security.

One check for $420 and the other for $1,070.

No fee for I-131 and I-765 if you pay for the I-130 and I-485.

But anyway, you can send those other two checks to me . . . and I won't send you a rejection notice!!

With many Info Lines, it's best to play by the Baseball World Series Rules.

i.e. Call 7 different times, and take the best 4 answers.

You can pay with one check/money order, or two checks/money orders. There is no requirement. Some folks suggest it. However, I can tell you from personal experience, USCIS took my one check, in the amount of $2140 (that would be $1070/person) for my wife and stepson's AOS from K1/K2 visas. Following the USCIS I-485 instructions, we concurrently filed Forms I-485, I-131, I-765 and I-864 for each of them (with no additional fees)!

http://www.uscis.gov/i-485

Not sure what the fee for filing I-130 will be. Think that you should re-read the USCIS fee structure link for specific information:

http://www.uscis.gov/fees

YMMV.

Good luck on your immigration journey.
