Filling I-130 within Turkey

Hmm...you should have received the text/email in about a week after delivery, and the hard copy NOA1 in another week. Do you have a tracking number? Does it say the packet was delivered?

This does not constitute legal advice.

Don't be too worried yet. They sent out our Noa1 the day after the package was received. But they messed ours up a little. I had requested to be sent email notifications, and they instead sent a letter. The mail system is a bit slow to Turkey. It took maybe 11 days to get. And a few days letter online it said approved. If you are concerned, maybe give uscis a call. Good luck

Ptt has international calling cards. I don't remember how much it costs. But I remember buying Skype credit to call is way cheaper for none 1800 numbers. For 1800 numbers it is free, but you still need to have a few dollars or lira in your credit.

Yep, just go to Usps website and see if it will come up with anything.

Btw, I live with my spouse in Turkey and our petition was approved in 11 days. If yours gets sent to the California Service Center for processing, that's a very good sign that you're getting expedited.

I'd call now - as someone else said, it wouldn't cost too much via Skype. At least you can get your case number so that you can check the status online. I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was approved by now. We are on almost the exact same timeline (mine was received in Chicago on October 23) and our petition was approved on November 7.

I do not konw how im going to send the money to us from turkey. I have a very old bank account I barely used in usa. Would I still be able to contact that bank and do it? Its been years since I even touched that account.

Everyone I seen sends a check from bank accuont or family sends tehm money order which I do not have any trust worthy family within statess.

No you can't use your husbands Non-US bank account. Must be drawn from a US bank account.

I'm sorry, this is frustrating. I'd contact your bank in the USA and see if you can't get a check book from them and transfer funds over to that account from turkey. You will need to prove you are domiciled in the US when you get to Nvc, and of course they want money, too. So if you can get this now it will save you a few steps down the line and keep you from having this head ache again (nvc will let you pay online using your checkbook, so this is super helpful if you can get it). Some banks let you set up an account online, but I don't know how you transfer money from turkey to the account. Maybe a place like ING would work because there are branches in both the U.S. and turkey.
