I was wondering how I can look my petitions status online without a case number? I donnot have one yet. I have receieved no NOA yet, but I have sent my petition a while ago.

Also what is it mean to create a customer profile ? Should I be doing this?

thanks again everyone very much

You need a receipt number either from the back of your cancelled check or the NOA1. You are at the right place on the USCIS website though.

N-400s can not be tracked online.

Look at your District Office posted processing dates for a guideline. You should receive a NOA, followed closely by a biometrics appintment letter.

That's funny - now that I think about it, I was able to register my naturalization case online, but I don't think it ever updated me.. it did show a touch when the interview letter was mailed out though. Is it not possible to even register them online anymore?

Looking now for least 45m on the ins www...completely lost.... I have found my office of jurisdiction. My local office is Detroit. And I sent my N400 petition to Nebraska, as per the instructions on the form. And it also states it here on the INS www.

I sent it certified and USP verified it was picked up and sign for Jan 8... so why no NOA yet? Is it too early or did I do a mistake? Also can anyone link to a prossessing guide timeline for Nebraska?

Thank you

I would say it's too early to worry :) Has your check been cashed?

Nebraska will hold your N-400 until Detroit DO calls for it. Typical processing time is 6 months from application to interview. Oath may take more time.

I really hope you will not fret over this every day. I know you are anxious, but don't over do it.

You might want to start looking at petitioning you spouse with you as an LPR now that your petitioning options have changed.

Give the NOA at least a month to arrive; the fingerprint letters have been one week behind the first NOA.

They cashed the check on Jan 10 2007. I received the green certified letter reciept back from the post office on Jan 11 2007. But no NOA yet... I have seen different time frames for various people here on VJ... some getting the interview quickly while others wait a while.

What would Nebraska "hold" my form for? Is there some type of system?

Sorry, my inner voice was shouting.

Nebraska holds the N-400 because that is the way it is done. Your case will be reviewed, interviewed and adjudicated by your local (District) office. timelines will be different for every office based on their particular caseload (you *have* been around the immigration game for awhile, right?). :)

It's just the way things *are*.

Well I have been around getting the GC (non-marriage means)... Naturalization and Spousal visa new to me.

I was thinking maybe there is a system, where they review by filing date, how many people have filed at the same time/area, how long you have had your GC etc... but I guess not.
