There is rarely an interview for removal of conditions.

Yodrak

Yodrak, what is this statement based on? Is there any particular category you are talking about viz. jointly filed, or with waiver, or both?

I'm not Yodrak, but I'll attempt to provide some guidance. I've been watching this removal of conditions forum for a long time, and I've seen many, many couples report approvals without interview, and only a few report being scheduled for interviews. I haven't seen any denials reported. Then again, the people who post here are not a random sample -- I suspect they're (at least almost) all legitimate couples.

The Adjudicator's Field Manual has some insight into their procedures, especially in chapter 25.1. When they decide a case warrants an interview, they assign a suspected fraud level. The field offices interview various percentages of cases depending on the fraud level suspected.

I suspect the percentage of interview cases is significantly higher for those requesting waiver of the joint filing requirement, but I don't know that for certain. I would suspect that the chances of interview still depend highly on the individual facts of the case and the strength of the evidence that was presented.

I think so too. Yodrak did not specify, hence the confusion. Though I have also heard that interview calls can be generated at random as well, primarily as a quality control measure and that sometimes, even couples might find themselves facing an interview at a field office.
