Can I change or postpone K1 interview date?

Hi everyone

I have a question about K1 intervie!

As I know NVC schedule the date for you but what if I want to postpone the date for example 2 - 3 after ? is that possible ? and will be there any extension for I129F expiry?

For K1, you or the embassy (depends on the country) is the one who will schedule the interview and not the NVC.

AOS Journey:

March 30 - AOS/EAD/AP sent

April 2 - USCIS received

April 9 - NOA1

May 6 - Biometrics

May 7 - Case is ready for interview

May 21 - Request for EAD expedite

May 26 - contact congressman for EAD expedite

June 1 - EAD card in production

June 2 - EAD approved

June 6 - EAD/AP combo card received

Since you'll be interviewing in Stockholm, you will schedule your interview yourself.

K-1 Journey: 309 days from received to POE (TSC)

[May 27, 2015] - NOA2
[July 9, 2015] - I N T E R V I E W! (APPROVED!)
[July 13, 2015] - Issued

[July 16, 2015] - POE JFK

AOS Journey: 169 days from received to GC in hand (NSC)

In the K-1 process, that expiration date is meaningless. NVC and/or the Embassy automatically extends it without any involvement or requirement on your part. Don't worry about that.

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!
