I fear non-American things. After a 2 hour road trip, during which my gut was about to explode, I rent a room for 20 bucks, just because it has a Bathroom.

Imagine the shock when my large not very flexible American but encountered this. It was an ugly process.

Personally I find it very disturbing that the more paranoid a person on here appears to be,the more they talk about guns as if they are a magic solution to social problems.

I honestly believe that these these sorts of people are the ones who shouldn't be allowed anywhere near firearms.

I've been to a few where it was just a hole in the floor and a hose. And that was in Makati the allegedly "high society" part of Manila. Most everywhere in Asia is like that except for the high dollar countries like HK, Singapore etc etc.

FYI, I would expect the same outcome as occurred this time if anyone self identified to another person as a member of an illegal organisation for whatever reason they chose to utlize and TAKE NOTE, I am not saying that the ACTION THAT THE POLICE DID TAKE WAS WRONG. The police must take precautions and despite the fact that there was no evidence of foul play beyond verbal threats the police have arrested a person for making threats BECAUSE he SELF IDENTIFIED as a SYMPATHIZER with a terrorist organization. What do you expect to happen in such a situation? Oh, and terrible as ISIS is, they don't behead folks every day.
