How long for Delivery Confirmation?

I sent my I-485 package by Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation from Seattle on January 16th. Nothing in USPS website about being delvered yet and my checks have not been cashed. This is the 9th day and that seems to be on the long side after checking all the timelines. Anyone else have the same problem?

I had a similar experience. I don't remember the exact times but it took a long time to cash the check and a very long time to get the return receipt requested card. Maybe ten days to cash the check and six weeks for the card. The first indication for me was the clearing of the check online.

I was wondering the same thing, I am very impatient tho I set it up for them to send me e-mail notification and everything, and I track it everyday all I see when I go on the site is

Checks cashied on the 24th so the clock is ticking. So I guess USPS isn't real time with its delivery confirmation like UPS is.

So what should we use, UPS or USPS? We're sending money orders too so we wont be able to see when they cash those in (will we?) so how/when will we know that the application has arrived if it can take up to 6 weeks to get a delivery confirmation?!

I sent ours next day delivery...USPS I think....cost $14.00 (there were 3 AOS applications in the pack) and I had delivery confirmation by noon the day after I mailed them.

You can use UPS but the I-485 instructions have a different address to send it to than USPS.

I checked mine last night and it had been delivered yesterday. I actually had to track it on the USPS site, because they did not send me an update e-mail like they were suposed to

So I would track it again and if nothinge has changed, try to call the customer service at the post office and see if they can offer more info on the where-abouts of your package. Good Luck

I had no problems with USPS. You can go online and register your confirmation number and they send an email when there is a change in status. It told me the time that it arrived in Chicago and the time it was delivered @ the address.

You can use UPS but the I-485 instructions have a different address to send it to than USPS.

I don't believe UPS will deliver to a post box.
