Hi there Ktered. I suggest you call again today, your approval date is the day after my approval date. I have read somewhere that these are received in bulks at NVC. Yours maybe in the same package as mine. I called this morning and got my new case number.... It doesn't hurt to try. :)

Good Luck to you!

Hi

Thanks for the tip. I called tonight and was told that they received my case today but had not assigned a case # yet.....so looks like I'll be calling NVC back again! :) All of us who got NOA2 that week must be getting to NVC this week!

Good luck! I'll be interested to know how fast your interview is scheduled. Plane tickets are going to be expensive in December! ;)

Thanks dear.

Question though. Perhaps you would know. Ive read in other threads that several consulates such as Philippines do not accept a cosponsor for affidavit support. Is this the case for DR? I dont think so and i hope not. Because i will have a cosponsor since my income from 2013 tax year is not enough

Not sure on that, but I believe DR does accept co sponsors. Have it available, better to be safe than sorry.

Hello everyone waiting on the NVC, especially the August TSC transfers. I have news!

TSC transfer to CSC on August 8th. NOA2 on September 16th.

I called the NVC on Tuesday, October 7th, 3 weeks to the day after my NOA2. They informed me they did not have my case and they should have had my case already and recommended I contact USCIS and ask for Tier II support. When I eventually got through to Tier II support at USCIS, they immediately asked me, without me telling them why I was calling, if I had heard from the State Department yet (NVC). I said no, they recommended I call you and find out where my case is! Tier II immediatley opened a ticket.

After 2 days (yesterday October 9th) I heard back via e-mail from USCIS that my case was sent to the NVC on October 1st. Today I called the NVC and got my case number! They told me they "received" it today.

If you are one of the many TSC transfers from August with a mid September NOA2 date, and there seems to be a lot of us, know that it took CSC 2-3 weeks to get your case out and about a week for NVC to process your case as "received". If your dates are close to mine NVC probably has your case, they just haven't gotten around to "receiving" it yet. Call every day, call twice a day, and if you haven't already, get to USCIS Tier II support and raise a ticket! Maybe it is a coincidence, maybe not, but I got my NOA2 the same day I got through to Tier II support in September and complained and I got my NVC case number a few days after getting Tier II to raise a service request. Maybe complaining enough does work in some of these cases.

I am now waiting on the file to go out to the embassy.... Good luck to everyone and wishes for fast turn around times.

Jtoro70.....you are so right. I have allowed this to consume me and had to step away. God does answer prayers. I just prayed my fiancè was here by holidays and it looks like that will happen. Things work in God's time not our. Keep us posted with interview date.

Good luck!!?

I definitely agree with you, as I also have become consumed... but the difference is I cant step away even if I wanted to.. I cant help it, I'm addicted and a control freak and after reading on VJ the amount of errors, disregard and misinformation on behalf of these departments, it makes me extremely nervous. So I baby sit them. And after so much invested (time, money, emotion), I refuse to accept any neglect, especially when we are so close. I will continue to pray, as I have great faith and I will keep all of you in my prayers

Good Luck!!

It's funny how they give everyone different info. My dates are very similar to yours and on two calls to NVC I was told it can take 5 weeks the first time and the second time I was told it can take up to 25 days. When I called last night mine was supposedly received yesterday and had not been assigned a case # yet.

Thanks and I shall do the same for u. And I agree...we're trying to do this the right and have put so much time into this and they have no cares about it. Also to think our love lifes are in their hands. To have the say as to whether or not it is true and real. But again God will put us in the path of the right one so there is no problem. ?
