Got my SDO number after 3 days. They told me to wait until Thursday or Friday for more information. Anyone know roughly how long from receiving a case number in the DR until interview? I am hoping for a day soon so I can mark my work calendar and schedule my time there. :)

Hi, any updates here? I was approved Oct 22nd and the NVC still hasn't received my case...

What have you done to figure out where it is? Have you read this thread?

I had called December 8th to NVC and still the case hasn't arrived. The NVC rep I talked to between 6 and 7 am said I was the 4th person with NOA2 dates of October 22/23/24 that she talked to in that hour and none of our cases have reached NVC.

NOA2 of Sept. 18. NVC hasn't received my petition yet either.

K-1 Visa
NOA2 date: November 3rd 2014

So far nothing... I am debating about calling NVC based on what I see here. I am in another country at the moment (with the beneficiary) so not sure how I would call them anyways.

I sent the I-129F September 29th so it was accepted by USCIS fairly quick, maybe things are backed up at NVC?

Got a form letter back from the Ombudsman, with a couple of sections highlighted.

I can see that people are willing to help, especially the ones who are mandated by their jobs to do so.

I'll go back to drinking now.

So, for all of you who are still waiting for an NVC case number, how many days are you past your NOA-2 at this point? We're at 70 days. Still no word.

Just curious. I know several of you have been waiting a significantly longer time than we have. Best of luck to all of you!

75 for us. I think USMSBOW is at the 80-90 stage.

Hi,

Yes I have read it all. Seems like I am in the same boat as the rest of you. So its been seven weeks exactly; I have called NVC around 10 times and USCIS twice. The last time i spoke to a tier two agent at the USCIS, which was the week before Thanksgiving, he confirmed that my case was indeed still with the USCIS and not sent to NVC. He said they send them in bulk so thats why and that "they are sending them soon, can't tell me exactly when but NVC should have it by mid December. If they don't, I should call them back."

However, it seems like a few others that got approved around the same day I did have no news either. I am really hoping for the best and for things to pick up any day now!!

Also, question (kind of stupid but just double checking), if I mailed my petition to Texas location but my approval letter has the California Service Center address on the bottom, that means I am with CSC, right?

Yes, you're with the CSC. The Texas address is the lockbox. They process the payment and then route your petition to the service center that corresponds with your geographical location. In your case, and mine, that's the CSC.

Now, if only the CSC would mail petitions to the NVC as quickly as they received them from the lockbox office, we'd all be happy.

I started a new thread as a place to centralize our issue. I don't know if you guys want to move over there but I started it with everything the rest of us has tried thus far.

You may also have been one of the TSC filers who was transferred to CSC for quicker processing, similar to USMSBOW and Laura.

Ah, good. I didn't mean to sound short with you. I'm all for helping, but I struggle with hand-holding. Know what I mean? :D

We opened a second service request with a Tier 2 just before Thanksgiving, too. This was the guy who told us our case file was sent to National Research Center instead of NVC. He told us the same thing, that if we hadn't received our case number by mid-December, we should call again.

The question is how many times do we have to call before we find resolution? All of our I-797s are due to expire in January. What then? Do we have to start all over? No one wants to answer these questions or tell us specifically where our files are.

And that is the most frustrating thing. There needs to be some more transparency in this process.

No problem! I just read your new thread and I am definitely going to follow through with the steps that you have done, tomorrow (service request and contact senator). I know I am ONLY (lol) at 42 days (I don't think the panic and frustration is comparable to your situation just yet), but when I see people's cases sent over in a week or two after approval, it really makes me anxious!
