Hello everyone... TSC transfer to CSC. NOA2 September 16th. Called NVC today and they still don't have my case.

It appears all the transfers that got approved in mid September are still waiting for an NVC case number...

NVC did tell me that they recieve most of the files from the service centers on Mondays and Tuesdays. I hope we all get case numbers this week...

Thanks for the info. I was going to call them this morning, but decided I'd choose sleep instead. I think I'll just wait until tomorrow evening due to your info.

Very annoying.

Need feedback if anyone can help...

I called NVC Friday October 3rd and was informed that they had received our file and gave me case number. I checked on https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx for status and this is what it says:

READY

Immigrant Visa Case Number: ****** Case Creation Date: 01-Oct-2014 Status Updated Date: 06-Oct-2014

Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you already have an interview appointment scheduled, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Present your appointment letter at your interview, if you do not, you will be turned away. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3731.html.
Should I schedule my interview now and pay for visa?

Tish1974, I believe u should contact your embassy where u will be interviewed to schedule your interview. They should send you a packet 3 with instructions as to what the next step should be. Normally it's to schedule ur interview and get medical done before interview. Wish u good luck.

Has anyone tried to email NVC with the case number request? I saw they stated somewhere that email is their preferred form of communication. Just from here it seems that everyone just calls.

If it makes you feel any better, they told me up to 25 business days, so they gave you better news. I will hit the 4 week mark tomorrow.

I called NVC tonight (last week I called in the morning around 7:20am and waited 20 minutes) around 10:40pm. I waited about 45 minutes on hold but he told me the same thing that they told you usmsbow - we usually receive them in about 25 days. Last week the woman told me 5 weeks. Everything has been slow for us so I guess I will try again next week. :)
