Hey, guys. Just wondering if anyone could tell me how to track my case now that the NVC has shipped it to my Consulate. Is there a way I could look online to see the progress of the package to the consulate? Thank you and good luck to all!

Try this:

https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?

Select immigrant visa. Hope that works!

yup I think that too. Actually I don't know what to think anymore. This ####### is taking over my life and I'm sick of it, i'm usually a such a happy positive person but this whole process is turning me into the devil. Our email was from jess too lol

I'm the same thing way. I don't even have work to take my mind off it. We agreed I could quit my job and get ready to move.

Now another Canadian has been told the Vancouver consulate is no longer processing our visas. That means it's a longer wait to get an appointment and flying to Montreal.

Vodka.

WOO HOO! Knowing Jess e-mailed you too made my day. Fantastic. I feel like we've all entered some bizarro world where the absurd is normal.

Honestly, if I didn't know you two and a few others were out there going through this nonsense, I would be going absolutely crazy by now. Thank you for helping me keep my sanity.

I couldnt agree more. Just think how awful we would be feeling if we thought we were the only one going through the same thing

I quit my job too, my last day is on the 12th of this month. The main reason I quit was because I work in a hotel, obviously open 365 days a year so I would of had to work over the holidays. I live an hour away from all my friends and family so I wanted this christmas to be about spending time with them with no interruptions from work, thinking I would be moving to the states shortly after christmas. Doesn't look like thats gonna happen so now I also have to worry about having no income.

That sucks about Vancouver no longer processing them

I'm standing in line at the grocery store, trying to not burst into tears.

But you know ... patience, the system and all that bull shat.

Yeah, you'll get that e-mail on Wednesday and not a day sooner. And it will be something vague that will give you a little hope. Or at least it would give you hope if this were a month ago. Who knows now.

Sorry about my cynicism. This process has made me quite jaded.

Guys on the 34th day of NOA2 I emailed to NVC and CSC (CSC-NCSC-FollowUp@uscis.dhs.gov) asking where my case is at. So to my surprise CSC replied to my email just right now. Please help me understand this email response. Either my head isnt working or the response is confusing . Here it is:

Thank you for your inquiry. A search of our records indicates your case was sent to the National Records Center on November 28, 2014. As the petition has been forwarded to the State Department for consular processing, it is no longer within the California Service Center’s jurisdiction and we cannot retrieve any additional information regarding your petition. You will need to contact the National Visa Center for additional information and status updates. Please send any further correspondence to the following address: NVC, 31 Rochester Avenue, Portsmouth, NH 03801-2909. Direct any telephone inquiries to (603) 334-0700. You can also email the NVC at NVCINQUIRY@state.gov .

I would call USCIS and demand to speak to a Tier 2 Immigration Officer for clarification. None of that makes sense.

If....our case is at NRC, what are you guys think they are going to give back to NVC before the expire date?

Our expiry date is January 24. The last IO told my fiance that if we don't receive our NVC case number by Dec. 19 to call back and get someone to put a rush on the case.

So yeah ...

Through this wonderful experience, I am starting to think the following is the case: they send EVERYONE's file to the National Records Center to archive. The problem for us all is CSC never sent a copy to NVC. Consequently USCIS has to get it back, so they can pass it onto NVC OR maybe NRC sends it directly to NVC, I don't know.

If that is indeed the case, you're f-d. Why? Because in the e-mail you received, USCIS is basically is saying they did what they were supposed to, and they won't acknowledge their f-up. I agree with Angela, call USCIS and ask what's going on.

Regardless of the NRC part, that e-mail is basically saying "tough s--t, don't bother us, you are NVC's problem now."

Mine is 15January. They let me and my fiancé to wait 90days. Now it's going throw on 16December. So I hope USICS should do something for showing how they will have responsibility for it.

You know, that sounds like it makes sense.

Are you the USC or the beneficiary? Because as previously noted, USCIS will only talk to the petitioner, not the beneficiary.

When you call, if the Tier 1 agent tries to put you off, stress to him or her that your NOA-2 expires in a month and you must have your case escalated by a Tier 2 Immigration Officer.

USCIS' blurb about the NRC:

https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=offices.type&OfficeLocator.office_type=NRC

http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/pressrelease/NationalRecordsCenter_022500.pdf

So I'm pretty sure the e-mail I got from CSC a week ago was saying they (CSC) will be getting my file 10 days from that e-mail. Not that NVC will be getting it in 10 days. I'm guessing NVC will be getting my file right around the expiration date if CSC takes its usual time.

Of course this is pure speculation on my part.
