Google Hangouts.

I wish they could be more forthcoming with information. They're playing with our lives here.

We also just heard from our congressman. They are going to intervene and request expedition.

But that could take up to four weeks.

<groan>

Ok so my fiancé just got off the phone with them again and as usual got a totally different answer. Our case is apparently 100% on it's way to NVC and was definitely not sent to NRC. He said to expect it to be another week then start hounding NVC. I'm hoping this is true.

I like that better.

I just wish we knew who to believe.

Well after I received a reply for my first service request, I e-mailed CSC saying what a bad and pointless answer it was, and asked CSC to immediately send my file to NVC. As I noted earlier on this thread, I then talked to a Tier 2 person who said she would make a new service request for my file to be sent to NVC. I figured my e-mail to CSC would be ignored, and was pointless at that point. Well surprise surprise, I got a response today from CSC via e-mail. It states:

The file has been requested; allow 10 days for receipt.

Thanks for your patience in this matter.

Umm, ok. Who has requested the file? And 10 days for receipt where? NVC? I mean I'm happy that something is being done somewhere about my case, but the lack of details is frustrating. How hard is it to be just a little more specific?? AHHH!

They could win awards for giving the most vague responses. People say "no news is good news" but in our case I think any news is good news

Hey guys, I think we are in the exact same situation. We got approved on september 19t but NVC hasn't received our case yet. Its frustrating and annoying. We've been trying everything but we haven't heard anything back from NVC, USCIS,congressman yet.

I really hope we all get this sorted before Christmas :)

You feel better when you find other people in similar situations. Doesn't take away from how much this sucks though.

Hi usmsbow,

What is the CSC email address?

Btw: Called USCIS today and tier 2 officer said that our case was never shipped to NVC and he was kinda surprised. He said that by Decemeber 11 we should get an email to update us on the status of the service request raised.

CSC-NCSC-FollowUp@uscis.dhs.gov

That's CSC's e-mail address for following up a service request. I don't know if they'll reply if you haven't made a service request yet. I put my service request # in the subject line of my e-mail too.

Two calls to USCIS today. What a waste of time.

The idiots I've talked to say they can't put in a service request until 90 days post approval. So about 7 more weeks. This is what law abiding tax payers get. Service at its finest

Yeah, they're fools. I guess I've been lucky that two USCIS people put in service requests for me even though I haven't reached the 90-day mark. You spoke to tier 2 people? They're generally slightly less dumb than the first level people.

Tier 1 wouldn't transfer me to Tier 2. This process has me losing hope.

I even tried to put in service request online and the system wouldn't accept it.

Any tips on how to reach a tier 2?

Hmm.. The first time I put in a service request, I told the tier 1 person that it had been more than 30 days and that NVC had put in its own service request to get the NOA2. The 2nd time I just mentioned how my service request answer was pointless and dumb, so could I talk to a tier 2 person to complain about it.

Perhaps others have better advice, but I would recommend a) repeating that your NOA2 says NVC should have it within 30 days, and that NVC has confirmed to you via both phone and e-mail they still don't have it. It's long past 30 days. b) You were previously told that once it passed that mark you could put in a service request (that might be a lie, but hey, they're BSing you, so you should do the same) c) if they're still putting up a wall, just tell them you're going to call them over and over again until you get a hold of someone who can actually help you.

And honestly, that's what you gotta do: just call over and over until you get a helpful person. I noticed the more forceful (but not rude) I sounded, the more they'd try to do something.

Given the response I've received from the Tier 2 people, it seems clear the first level people don't know what they're talking about. No Tier 2 person ever said 90 days to me, just the first level drones.

Thank you!! Tier 2 said case is still at CSC. So he did put in service request. One thing I didn't ask was the service request ID.
