Dumb question, if they say my case number doesn't exist, it means they haven't received my case yet right? Not that it's lost or something? It is my SRC number and only 5 business days have passed so I guess it's still early.

Very early. And TSC sucks in its approval time, but doesn't tend to mess up like CSC does when sending approved petitions to NVC. You should be fine.

No, I know it's early, but when I call it's the SRC number I give them right? They said there is no record of that number, so I am worried they mean that my case has been lost. The lady was not interested at all in helping me understand anything. When they do receive my case, they are looking for the SRC number right, and then I get the SDO (Santo Domingo) number then?

They have no record of anything because your case hasn't gotten there yet. Like we said, five days is too soon. You should give them at least 10-14 business days after you get NOA-2 before calling.

They don't exactly work on the express system.

Your case isn't lost. It's just in transit. You don't get to worry until you've hit at least five weeks so just calm down.

Yeah, they won't have your SRC number until they receive your case from USCIS. The "no record" response is standard.

And yes, when they do get your case, they will then have your SRC number and will create a SDO number for it, which you will then use to track the application from that point forward.

I hope I am understanding this correctly but my NVC case status says in transit which means.... that it is on its merry way to the Philippines???? I hope so because I have already starting praising GOD and doing my happy dance!!!! Go ahead, if I am wrong, tell me. I would rather be corrected and know more accurately what the NVC statuses mean than have false hope!!!

My fiancé and I received the approval 9 weeks ago and NVC still don't have our case. After the 35 days start calling USCIS and ask to speak to a tier 2 officer for them to put in a service request for you. They will give you a vague response about where your case is or they will request again for it to be sent to NVC. that's what happened to me anyway. There are two other people on here in the same situation

Yes, do what Laura said. The one regret I have in this process so far is not contacting USCIS earlier (I waited almost 2 months). I also recommend contacting your congressional office once you've passed that 35 day mark too.

NVC will also eventually ask you to email nvcresearch@state.gov. I say e-mail them now with a copy of your NOA2 and state the situation. It will take them about a month to reply.

We're still waiting and it's been 63 days since our approval letter. I've done everything they say to do as well (both uscis and the nvc). I'm so over all of it. The sad thing is the people on the phone could care less about any of us. It's run like the mafia.

Have you received a response yet from USCIS? It took them about 2 weeks to reply to my service request. I think they responded in about a week for a couple other people on this board.

Yes I received a response. All it said was that it was under review. So I called immediately and asked for another service request, haven't heard anything since. I did however call my congressman today and they seem to have put some life into all of this. They actually seemed irritated that this was going on. She even said "she should have had her interview and be here by now". Sooooo she is saying that I should hear something by this Friday. We're still not getting our hopes up because it seems that every time we do we end up being hurt more and more each time.
