Received nvc number tonight. Don't know what's next.

Fill out the DS160 form online and submit it, prepare I134 affadavit of support, and some countries allow you to schedule your medical as long as you have a case number! London allows that so we went ahead and scheduled medical as soon as we had case number......also submitted readiness form from embassy once the medical was scheduled! I believe in being proactive and not waiting around for paperwork to arrive in the mail whenever it is possible! Best of luck!

Mine is the same boat. Will everyone get the case number from NVC or will USICS not forget our case? After Texas tranferred my case to California and I got NOA2 on 16 September. I have never heard anything about my case at all. :( I'm praying every single day. I want to be with my fiancé like other people. It is almost 2months. Pleaseeeeeee help. I tried everything from anyone recommended to me. Still waiting. ???

NVC will change your case number, first three characters of case number will be letters reflecting the consulate it was assigned to. Mine was JRS meaning Jerusalem. Like that.

The next four digits will be year 2014 then there are six more digits that follow.

The i-134 is a form the beneficiary brings to the interview. Just send it to your fiancee along with the supporting documentation. No fee involved.

Almost one month and NVC doesn't have my case. I know others have waited 1-3 months post NOA2 to have case reach NVC. Still every day that passes the anxiety builds (on why it's taking so long). Like the rest of yhe k1 people I just want my guy here

I apparently got a reply, but they said I have to wait until I get it in the mail to know what the reply is! Frustrating.

There are a few of us in this boat. Call USCIS and ask for a Tier 2 Immigration Officer to track your file. You can also file an online service request on the new website but I think talking to someone might be better for the frustration level.

Dumb question, if they say my case number doesn't exist, it means they haven't received my case yet right? Not that it's lost or something? It is my SRC number and only 5 business days have passed so I guess it's still early.
