Hi can someone help me? We have the case number and my fiancé received the letter from NVC saying I can schedule the interview already but when I checked the status online it says it's ready for interview but I have to wait for the packet from the embassy which has the instructions of what I need to do and list of documents to be submitted. I paid the k1 visa fee and submitted DS160 form already. Also, I have tried to email them but no response. I'm not sure if I can schedule my interview now or do I have to wait for that packet from the embassy? Please help. Thanks in advance!

USE Manila don't send out packets, you have to print it out yourself....click link below for the packet....

heu guys. i was able to track from DHL my package from NVC to the consulate heres how to check it, once u get your NVC case # and u check it on https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx youll get a case creation date after u get the case creation date go to http://www.dhl-usa.com/en/express/tracking/shippers_reference.html put in under tracking EXP 30 oct2014a

Although this does work in many cases, it did not work in ours, I tried every day and actually a couple of people on here tried for me and could never get anything even close to our location. So if you are like and checking loction using the DHL trick to not be alarmed if you cannot locate it.

I am wondering. Do you think USCIS sent our papers to DOS not NVC or the one who took care of our cases forgot tranfering our papers? Why it took so long? Huhu . Mine is 25 days past.

Hi. Just to update, the letter from US embassy Manila finally arrived today! (It was sent via mail and it took 13 working days to reach me, I live in Central Luzon.) It's the same letter as what my fiancé received from NVC a week ago. (Only difference is my address and my fiancé's address on the top left side) It says I can schedule the medical exam and interview already which I did. I'll go for my medical exam next week and interview next month. Good luck to me! Cheers! :)

NVC is a part of the Department of State.

Thanks for your answer. Do you think I should call DOS, too? How about you? Did you keep going on calling NVC everyday?

No, calling the Department of State (other than NVC) won't help from what I've read on this board.

And I don't call NVC every day. I call 2-3 times a week.
