Post NOA2- NVC Stage

Got NVC case # on Oct 31st with invoice identification # as well from NVC agent. NOA2 was approved on Oct 7th and since then have completed the DS-160 form along with DS-260 form. Checked NVC case # and status says READY. Just waiting on Embassy to receive and packet 3 sent to my Fiancee.

Hi everyone, got my NOA2 this week. I have a few questions...

What do I need a case number for right now from the NVC? I know I will need that to fill out some forms, but is it needed now so I can track something or am I missing something?

Will I get a notice (online or print) for when my case moves to the NVC? How about when it gets sent to the Consulate?

And, what is this CEAC website used for?

TS2014 , did you call NVC? ! You and I are in the same boat! Will see who get the case number first. Another month waiting for NVC, I read after NOA2 everything was fast uhm...not so sure.

it lasted 21 days from your NOA2. Did you get any info from both sides?

1. You're not alone. My NOA2 is September 10th and I'm still waiting. There is someone from the UK whose NOA2 is September 19th, and she's in the same boat.

2. Whoever talked to your fiancee at USCIS didn't know what s/he was talking about:

3. Your financee needs to do the following (at a minimum), if he hasn't already:

a. E-mail nvcresearch@state.gov a copy of the NOA2 and explain the situation.

b. talk to a tier 2 rep at USCIS and put in a service request.

c. Contact his congressional office and ask them to contact USCIS on your behalf.

when did you ask a service request? And whay happened after service request to you?

I asked for it this week. You won't be able to make one until it's been 30 days since your NOA2. All that happened was they gave me a service case number, and said I should have a reply within 14 days. If I don't get any news, I should contact them again after those 14 days.

yes, thank u, some of the information is outdated on VJ, i went to the actual embassy website and found what I needed to prepare.

I called the NVC tonight and they received our file yesterday! Only 8 business days after our NOA2! Started filling out DS160 form on CEAC website and gonna schedule medical in the next week or so! We have the I-134, police certificate, etc all ready to go! Just waiting for file to arrive at embassy in London! Good luck everyone!

Congratulation, JenDave3121, 8 days after NOA2, how is this possible?.Really the NVC driving me crazy with the wait, I will give it two weeks , I hope is ready by them.

heu guys. i was able to track from DHL my package from NVC to the consulate heres how to check it, once u get your NVC case # and u check it on https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx youll get a case creation date after u get the case creation date go to http://www.dhl-usa.com/en/express/tracking/shippers_reference.html put in under tracking EXP 30 oct2014a

Hi can someone help me? We have the case number and my fiancé received the letter from NVC saying I can schedule the interview already but when I checked the status online it says it's ready for interview but I have to wait for the packet from the embassy which has the instructions of what I need to do and list of documents to be submitted. I paid the k1 visa fee and submitted DS160 form already. Also, I have tried to email them but no response. I'm not sure if I can schedule my interview now or do I have to wait for that packet from the embassy? Please help. Thanks in advance!

All depends on embassy. You need you check your embassy details. Since you have no timeline I can't link you but you will find an embassy review on VJ. Mine for example the embassy schedule it when I send them back the letter of readiness, that they send me in packet 3. Other embassys you can book your interview yourself. Do make sure you have all paper work needed before hand either way otheriwse you could end up with an interview your not ready for.
