This is the first time I heard it lasted 50 days without case number. Did you call USCIS?

My fiancé called USICS and they said after getting 90days , I should call back again. It has no reason to wait for long long time like this. Everyone gets it but not me.

1. You're not alone. My NOA2 is September 10th and I'm still waiting. There is someone from the UK whose NOA2 is September 19th, and she's in the same boat.

2. Whoever talked to your fiancee at USCIS didn't know what s/he was talking about:

3. Your financee needs to do the following (at a minimum), if he hasn't already:

a. E-mail nvcresearch@state.gov a copy of the NOA2 and explain the situation.

b. talk to a tier 2 rep at USCIS and put in a service request.

c. Contact his congressional office and ask them to contact USCIS on your behalf.

I think waiting 90 days is not correct. No reason to wait like this. You should read info from usmbow's link. It is useful...

90 days is long.....my NOA2 was Sept 3rd. Arrived at NVC Sept 15th and arrived at Embassy Oct. 13th. Long time but 90 is crazy.

Hi! Congratulations to those who got their case numbers! To those who are still waiting, I hope you get your case numbers soon.

We got our case number today! Yes! Also, my fiancé only had to redial once or twice compared to almost 30 times the first time he called 3 days ago. He was on hold for 30 minutes. We were chatting on Skype while waiting and I didn't know that he already got the case number. He told me about it on video chat. He said he wanted to see my face and how I would react.

We got our approval on October 23. I'm not really sure when NVC got our file and when they assigned our case number but I am thinking maybe on November 5. Anyway, it took us exactly 2 weeks to get our case number. We are very happy on how fast things are moving. I will go to the bank today to pay so we can schedule my interview. My fiancé was given 3 numbers-the case number, invoice ID, and beneficiary ID. What are the other numbers for?

We only needed our case number so far. That is as far as I can remember, but if something prompts you for them (an online form) you have them right. we may have needed them last week when registering online with consulate, not sure.

But hold on to them, also in about a week the petitioner should get a letter in the mail from NVC, keep it in a safe place. I scanned our letter and sent a copy by email to my fiancée, she put her copy in an envelope of documents, I also copied everything I received so far NOA1, NOA2 and NVC letter and locked a copy in my desk at work, this way if the house burns down, just kidding but you never know, we have a copy at a safe location.

Hopefully your case will move quickly and you too can me united by Xmas.

I'll check if he already made copies. He probably did.

It would be nice if we can be together by Christmas, but I will spend Christmas and New Year with my family especially that they can't be there on our wedding. Hopefully by Christmas, we'll have everything done and my flight booked (Lord willing, the interview will go well). Receiving the NOA2 before Christmas is already a great early Christmas gift.

It would be nice if all of us on this thread will receive some good news by Christmas.

I got NOA2 on Oct 28, I was thinking to call NVC on the third week of Nov so when I call I get case number and I don't has to call again but I see you A+J<3 got you case in two weeks, should I wait or call by the 15 of Nov? Or call by Nov 21 of Nov? One week of waiting is an eternity. I do know why some cases get their case number faster than others. Hopeful for Xmas? .

I would say 14 days is a good time to start calling, I started at 7 days and admittedly was premature, but I say 14 days is fine.

trust me I know about the torture from waiting.

I just say start looking at the next few steps so if it goes quickly you can react quickly and if it does not, well at least you were prepared and when it happens you will be ready.

Hi! Maybe try calling on November 11. That will make it exactly two weeks. Or if you want to do it the end of the week, try calling on November 14. It does not hurt to try and call. If it is not there yet, then you can call again after a week. At least you tried.

We have almost the same dates....I got my NOA2 on October 29 and I'm planning on calling them (NVC) on Nov. 12, exactly 15 days after NOA2. Hopefully they'll have my case # by then. I can't wait!!
