Hi jtoro70,

Hope everything is going great for you.

I had asked a while ago about tracking on dhl since my case says "in transit since 10/14 afternoon. I tried your instructions but couldn't get anywhere.

What do I enter on the Shipper's reference blank box?

Then again, this may have not yet been picked up by DHL as in my case. NVC told me it shipped the 8th and in reality was picked up by DHL on the 9th. Give it another day before you track.

YES! ITS THE WORST. I just called the NVC and surprisingly enough, I only waited 12 minutes to speak with someone. A very nice lady told me that the package was sent to DR yesterday 10/14/14. (as i supposed). However, she told me that I should check back next week :crying: which is an eternity since you have already shared how quickly your case was sent. I wish we could all run with the same luck. but I am grateful everything is moving smoothly. So question- what exactly is your next step now that you know that DR has your case? :secret:

Well, now we wait... Giving the consulate some time to enter my case in the system ( about 5-7 business days) then I'll call DR consulate and check status, I will keep calling and checking periodically eventually getting my cita date. I suggest you do the same and keep us posted!!

FYI, the number is (877) 804-5402, have your credit card ready, as you will be charged $7.00 every call.

We're waiting for the embassy to send the packet with further instruction and when and where to setup medical exam. I think it depends on how quickly u send back what they ask for, then they send a 2nd packet with interview letter which they bring to the interview. I'm praying all is said and done in the next 4 weeks. ?? Good luck and keep us posted.

My NVC letter arrived today and last week I tracked the DHL package based on the info provided here. It supposedly arrived on Friday in Santo Domingo. The only problem I see now is that NVC spelled my fiance's first name wrong on the letter they sent. :( I read some stuff that says not to worry. They will issue his visa according to the name on his passport/birth certificate and that I can correct when I get a copy of his birth certificate. Hopefully that is true.

Really exciting (and nerve-wracking)!!! We are only a few days behind you so maybe I will call tomorrow. Since my Spanish is terrible - do they let you speak in English or Spanish?
