My wife took her medical exam at the end of July which was early but we had some concerns about TB and sure enough she had to take a sputum test. Everything seems to be fine with the test. It was over Sept 25th and she will get results on Tuesday afternoon. Our concern now is with the extended wait times at the NVC she might not have a interview before her medical exspires on Dec 25th. We hate the thought of having to take another medical and sputum again. Does anyone have any exspience with this?

If the results from the sputum test are negative you should have more than enough time to get the interview completed and fly to the USA. Normally SLEC will get a new interview date setup for you... normally.

If positive a second medical examine is always required (with 2nd fee of course ;) ) anyway, but with only a 90 day validity.

Ahhh, you really rushed things... for sure not the best idea as you are finding now. If the medical expires before you get your case complete and an interview, guess what... you will be doing the medical once more.
