For the beneficiary, you'll also need the green NBI clearance for travel abroad purposes. If your stepchild has lived anywhere other than the Philippines, you'll need police clearance(s) from there as well. As the petitioner, you'll need to complete the I-864 and submit the financial documentation that goes with it. Here are some links to check out:

NVC Process

Affidavit of Support Package (petitioner)

Immigrant Visa Package (beneficiary)

Yeah, I know all about the I-864.

Just asking about the IV application documents.

No NBI or police clearances needed.

Your civil docs (proof of citizenship, marriage certificate, etc.) were included with the petition. They're part of the file, and you don't need to resubmit them to NVC.

Yes, I sent those docs with the petition. However, I sent only a copy of our marriage certificate to CIS. Should I resubmit the original marriage cert. to NVC?

No, they don't need the original. As far as USCIS is concerned, you have already established your proof of citizenship and your relationship to the beneficiary. If they needed anything else, they would have sent an RFE before approving the petition.
