ST. LOUIS COUNTY • Someone in a car opened fire on an off-duty St. Louis police officer on Interstate 70 about midnight Saturday, police said.

The officer suffered minor injuries, St. Louis County Police spokesman Brian Schellman said.

The officer was driving his personal vehicle at the time of the shooting, Schellman said. The gunfire began when a car full of people pulled up next to the officer as he was westbound on I-70 near I-170.

It was unclear if the shooting was random or if the officer was targeted, police said.

Authorities closed I-70 while they investigated the shooting.

Might have a few suspects

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO (KTVI) – An off-duty St. Louis city police officer was shot at early Sunday morning on Interstate 70. Around 12:20 a.m., the officer was on I-70 near I-170 when three black male suspects fired shots into his personal car.

The officer was hit by glass and suffered an injury to his arm. Police say the officer did not shoot back. The three suspects fled the scene in a black sedan.

A segment of the Ferguson population, and of the US are not interested in due process of law and worse, don't care about due process of law. These people are only interested in a story line and result that provides the conviction they want. No other options are on the table for them. No justice, No peace. Anyone who makes a statement like that regarding this case means:

Unless the police officer who shot Brown is convicted of murder, they will cause violence wherever and whenever they choose. This is nothing other than anarchy, and we also have at least two idiots in the White House and DOJ who actively contribute to inciting a riot and lawless behavior.

It's time for this da bien to stop! Enough!

Could be...We know from on here (this forum ) that most of the rioters were white folks dressed up in black face al jolson style ...
