Yup, thats why i corrected my self. I mean 2014 not 2013. But lets hope for the best!

Is it same situation as yours? I hope the consul won't let her wait until nextyear.....

Manila requires the most recent tax return. 2013 is the most recent tax return.

Unfortunately Manila Embassy dont accept cosponsorship. So you only have one way to pass your visa. Its the waiting game, your fiance needs to file his 2014 tax return that should be above poverty level and you can send it to them. But as what i metioned you can still go to your interview in ocotber they will just give you RFE.

Hi again! Does it mean that the form i-134 has no bearing at all? Pls dont get me wrong. I'm just trying to figure out my situation. What my fiance stated in the i-134 is his current income which is supported by his pay stubs and a letter of employment stating his position and salary. Did you present these supporting documents during your interview? What did the CO tell you? Thanks! Hope you understand that I'm very anxious right now because my interview is days from now.

Yes i did present everything to the consul. Paystubs, employment letter, bank account, co sponsorship and even wage list thats says he made it above poverty level. At the end the consul told me she needed my fiances recent ITR and w2 since those are what they want. We waited for 2 months until he filed his 2013ITR and thats when we got our visa. Dont worry just hope for the best that they wont let you wait for your visa and get approved right away.

Thank you! Yeah, I'm hoping for the best. Are you also from Manila? I asked because it might be different from other countries.

Yes I'm from Manila too. I know its a tough process but you just need to hope for the best and wait if it needs waiting. You'll get your visa dont worry. I never heard that someone got denied because of the affidavit support, just the 221g thing to complete the requirement.

There was no mention of school in the OP's post. It said fairly clearly he changed jobs.

Yes, I know. My point was current income is more important than past earnings.

Yes manila does accept Co Sponsors, My mother did one for my nephew in Manila a few years back.

Now of days it is on a case by case basis.

As far the OP, you should be fine with paystubs.....

Hello, I'm also from the Philippines and my fiancé just recently filed K1 petition. As of sept 9, 2014 it's on the initial review of California Service center. When he filed the i-129f his also below the poverty line but now he has a job and pays above the poverty line. i Have not yet received my NOA2 and my fiancé did not yet send the i-130. My question is is the USCIS will request for it before I received the NOA2? Or when I already the interview date that's the time I can present it once the consul requested it?

Please reply.. Thanks!

Hi kabayan! :) I-134 form or the affidavit of support form needs to be submitted on the interview. Recent ITR or form 1040 and W2 are also needed. In our case, it's important to also have the recent pay stubs, letter of employment and bank statement to prove that our fiances' earnings meet the requirement of the poverty guideline. And that is what I'm praying for. That those documents will be enough to support the i134 form.

Btw, when did your petition was filed?

My petition was filed on June 3,2014 and got our NOA2 on Aug 15,2014. Here in Manila, after 5 days of getting the NOA2, I suggest that you and your fiance call the NVC for your MNL case number. No need to wait for the packet from the embassy. Upto now I haven't received it yet. Anyway, after getting your MNL case number, you can already set your appointment for interview. I did it online. You also need to do the DS160 form online and print the confirmation page. Once you have your schedule of interview, you can now have your medical at SLEC. Go to their website for online registration.

Wow.. It's so fast :) hope i got my NOA2 soon.. Anyways is there going to be a problem if u filed the interview scheduled even u have not received the packet? So once we received the NOA2 and got the case number, I will set an schedule for medical then schedule for an interview through DS160.

Just keep on praying that you will receive your NOA2 soon. You need to have your MNL case number after getting your NOA2. DS160 is an online form that is required in applying for the visa for K1 petition. Interview appointment can be set online or through phone. I can guide you how to go through it. Just let me know if you already have your NOA2.
