After daily checking of our status for who knows how long, finally a change, and a good one! Today (5/26), our status reads, "Card was ordered to be produced". Finally approved. Hooray!! :)

Congrats!

Hi everyone . My case was received on 10/14/2014 and bio appt is 11/12/14. I saw one member who has same NOA date and bio date like me got approved already. Why is my case still pending? I am so worry abt it. I haven't received any Rfe yet. :( . It is almost 8 months already.

Amaguirr, what was the basis that you filled an info pass for? Do you mind me asking what city? I just tried to file for one and they gave me four options, one being that if I already called regarding a case, I needed to provide them with a Service Request ID? If you can add me to the thread.. Filled with VSC on 10/28. biometrics on 11/26. Based on 751 waiver. Thank you all!

So by getting a stamp does this allows for the non-citizen to travel outside of the US and gain access back into the US without any problems? We were planning on traveling back to my husband's country at the end of the year but based on the Vermont's timeline it doesn't seem like that will be possible. However, are you guys saying if he get's the stamp while we wait, even though his GC is expired he won't have a problem departing the country and re-entry to the US?

You are correct. It is still necessary for him to have the extension letter and his expired GC when exiting and entering the country, but the stamp also works. Meanwhile, let's say your case gets denied, he won't be able to reenter. I am not saying your case will be denied, just saying what happens. If meanwhile you get a RFE, the custom's agent won't even know about it, so he/she will proceed as regular and allow reentry. Enjoy your vacation:)

GGG: Once you have a valid I 551 stamp...you should be able to freely travel, and get back any time. GC is not expired.....its the card that is expired. You still are a permanent resident till they decline it. THey wont decline is just like that either. They might ask for more documents if they feel that the one your provided is not enough proof. This is done through RFE process.

Yes I traveled back home in March when my process was still pending and I had the stamp, one year extension letter and passport and I could flight out and back without any problems. The airline agent told me that if I did not have the stamp I would have a huge headache to get back to US and would require me to visit the embassy to get everything straighten out. I heard some people that did not have problems to come back just with the one year extension letter but if you want to be on the safe side just get the stamp before your trip. Hope that helps!

I had an infopass appointment today to get my passport stamped because I was afraid to go out of the country with just the extension letter.

The immigration officer was very nice and she checked my case. She told me it will take at least 8-10 more weeks for VSC to start working on mid/late October cases. So my friends, we just have to sit down and KEEP WAITING. She also said some cases will be transfer to California.

Based on the NOA 1 date in this forum, thereare a couple of late october / november VSC filers approved. What's that all about?

You can select any option.... It doesn't really matter what option you choose. When you visit the office just take the appointment line and explain you need to get the I-515 stamp.

I chose the option "inquiry about a pending case or something like that" I can't really remember exactly what it was. The office was in Greer, SC.

I have no idea. I'm just passing on the info I got. Hopefully she is wrong about this and we will get answers pretty soon.

I have a question for all the info pass people. How long once you go online to schedule an appointment do you have to wait for appointment? We filed the 1-751 at the beginning of last week and I am waiting for the NOA. They have cashed my check. My husband is from England and his mother is in poor health and we are needing to go back soon. It may require several trips back and forth this year. I know his GC doesnt expire until beginning of August but we need to plan ahead not knowing what might come up in the future.

Thanks!
