Hi! I'm a little confused. My tax return last year was really low (I'm in nursing school) so I always just assumed I could get a co-sponsor but I see in some threads "if your consulate accepts co-sponsor" what does that mean and how can I find out? My fiancée is gambian but Gambia doesn't do k1 so he has to go to senegal for k1. Please shed some light on this thx.

You basically have to find out if the Senagal embassy accepts joint sponsors for the K1 visa. Apparently, some consulates don't, but I don't know which ones they are exactly. You may want to ask in the Senagal forum, or you can contact the consulate or check their website at travel.state.gov. Good luck.
