V. short time between interview and medical

Interview for my Fiance is scheduled for Sept. 29 and we received actual interview letter on Sept. 23rd.

We had received email for her interview on Sept. 16. However, the medical facilities usually require actual letter of interview to conduct medical exam/checkup for the applicant.

My fiance traveled out of her town to Karachi (city in South) but could not schedule medical (for this week) at her choice of the Medical facility. The other listed facility she tried to use could not complete her Medical in time. She is now back to her home town which is a smaller city in the middle of the country.

Her home town was affected by recent flooding (moderate to high) in the heart of Pakistan and earlier she had hard time leaving her town for the medical.

My question is, can she go to the interview without her medical citing short notice and/or climatal hardship? (I already sent message to the US Consulate to have her interview rescheduled).

Can K-1 interview be conducted without medical and medical later done in the US during AOS?

Thanks.

So I'm guessing your fiancée in in Pakistan? This may be country specific but I know in London, you do not even get an interview date until they have received your medical result. Getting an interview date before medical may be normal in Pakistan but I doubt they would conduct the interview and leave medical to be done in the US. The medical exam is essential to the whole visa process.

I think the possible solution as you have done already is to reschedule the interview. Hope the rest of the process go smoothly and goodluck

Contact the embassy. The medical will likely be done outside of the US.

Yes, the fiance is from Pakistan.

Contact the embassy. The medical will likely be done outside of the US.

Since this is K-1 non-immigrant visa, I imagined that medical can possibly be done here in the US if it was not done (or could not be done) overseas due to two issues I listed, i.e., short notice and climatal hardship.

I already asked the embassy to either grant us a new date or advise us if the applicant should appear without her medical.

The issue here is that the embassy is closed for the weekend and I did not receive any reply and the interview is for this Monday the 29th. Would it be an issue if she goes for the interview without her medical ?

The following note is found on the interview letter. Notice that it says "your appointment may be rescheduled"..

-------------

NOTE: Please make sure to bring your medical examination results with you to the Embassy. If you appear without your
medical results, your appointment may be rescheduled, delaying your case. There is no need to bring your x-rays to the
Embassy.

Unless u receive a reschedule date in time...If I were her I would go to the interview without the medical and explain the situation. I know of someone who went to their interview in Jamaica without medical results although the medical exam was completed. They were approved yet delayed until the embassy received the medical results and are now awaiting visa to be issued. However that was the Jamaican embassy. Either way there's a delay involved. :(

If I were her, I would go to the interview. I think the embassy will hold off on deciding her approval until they get her medical results anyway. Up to you. Either reschedule the interview or go to it and wait for them to get the results.

We decided to go later and do the medical first so all things are in place for fast approval.
