hi there,

my husband will ask his mom to be his co-sponsor for my AOS application. i just would like to know which form she should use and what will be the supporting documents that she should submit together with this form.

sincerely,

tam :help:

I-864A is a Contract Between Household Members. If the mom lives in the same household as your husband, she could simply contribute her income by way of the I-864A.

Then she'd use the I-864 as a co-sponsor and would be required to demonstrate the ability to sponsor the number of individuals in her household + the sponsored immigrant. If she is married and reports the income on tax returns as a combined figure and needs that combined income figure to meet the sponsorship requirements for her household + the sponsored immigrant, then her spouse would also fill in an I-864A (this Contract Bewteen Household Members would be one that is between the "mom" and her spouse)
