I am preparing my documents to file for the K1 visa and I started reading and I noticed on the top of the I-129F it reads:

"OMB no. 1615-0001; Expires 12/31/06"

Just above the BOLD LETTERS "I-129F, Petition..."

At the USCIS website it has the following:

Petition for Alien Fiance(e)

Purpose of Form :

This form is used to petition to bring your fiancé(e) and that person's children to the United States for marriage to you or to bring your spouse and that person's children (K-3 and K-4 visas, respectively) to the United States to complete processing for permanent resident status (under the LIFE Act and Amendments of 2000); please see section 12 of the Instructions to the form.

Number of Pages :

7

Edition Date :

11/24/06. Prior edition dated 05/23/06 will be acceptable until 02/18/07.

Where to File :

Service Center

Filing Fee :

$170.00

Anyone else notice this? If I file on Feb 2 or 3... Will I be ok? Is a new form expected? Or should I just ignore this... and file and hope for the best?

There should be a new form that was recently dated, that expires in 2010.

There have been previous threads that referred to this problem as well.

Thanks... I guess the question should have been:

Is "2/18/07" the filing or post mark date... or the date for the NOA1...?

I can have it sent by 2/18/07, but didn't want to worry about them "getting around to it" after the 2/18 time frame... also figured they would have the mysterious I-129F "2010 expiration" form available somewhere... but I have yet to find it even after clearing the cache on firefox and safari web browsers...

The published the new version then pulled it. They will put out the new file shortly I assume. If you file early in Feb you will be fine. I do not know if the USCIS definition of acceptance is the same as the IRS (meaning acceptance upon mailing), I would not chance it however.

YMMV
