Backup plan?

My fiance and I just had our petition approved. As we were reading into the next steps we realized that I do not meet the requirements for sponsorship. I asked my parents if they would help and be joint sponsors, but they are dragging their feet and are unsure if they will or not.

My question is, my fiance and I have come up with a backup plan of sorts for if they decide against being joint sponsors. We had the thought that maybe we should just relocate to Indonesia (where we met in 2012,) get married and then apply for a I-130 petition and after hopefully being approved, then relocate back to my hometown. Is this a good back up plan? Or will there be issues if we abandon trying to get the K-1 visa then apply later for CR1?

There is still the possibility that my parents will agree to be joint sponsors and that is what we are hoping for, just trying to have a back up plan in case they don't.

Thoughts? Questions? Ideas?

Who will sponsor the CR1?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

It's my understanding that for the CR1 we can use my fiance's income. He is the one that is the money maker. For the K-1 we cannot use his income and he cannot sponsor himself. For the CR1, aren't we allowed to use our joint income?

Pretty sure even for a Cr1, the USC still has to make over the 125% poverty line alone, otherwise you can still be a burden on the state.

Find a sponser, stick with the k1 or you will have to abandon everything and start over for a process that could take longer.

Read the guide, states that you still need 125%.
