I just received the duplicate of the I130 package(sent to USCIS last year) that my hubby sent for me to keep. I found out that the addresses he put On I130 form-- C. Information about your alien relative (continued)

#21. If filing for your husband/wife, give last address at which you lived together plus the date from- to...

were correct since we stayed back and forth at my place and his during his 1 month stay here but he got confused with the date. And when I asked him why he put a wrong date, he had no idea that he did so...that's just our problem..is there any way or possibility that we could inform the USCIS about it and correct the date? Becoz we are worried it might cause a problem in the future approval of our I130.

pls, you guys might help us...we really don't know if we will just leave it that way and just wait or if we must do something about it while it is still early..we 're thinking it might cause conflicts on the dates becoz intead of putting Dec 2004- January 2005, my husband put Mar 2002- June 2003.

My understanding is that trying to submit anything additional, unless specifically requested by an RFE, is almost impossible. That being said - I don't see how it could harm you, and if it does become an issue, you would later have a copy of your addendum that you tried to submit to them.

I don't know if it's even significant enough to worry about, but if it would make you feel better you could have him submit it. Maybe someone else will have something to contribute :)

I agree that they never reply, but why not send it for peace of mind that you have done all you can - keep it very short as if they can misunderstand, they will...

I have found out that a lot of the things we worry about don't become an issue - nobody at USCIS is doing any thinking - just ticking boxes and shoving paper...

My only concern and worry is that it might create a conflict on the dates and address I put in my G325A. and if we won't be able to correct it while it's early, what if they(USCIS or embassy) ask for proofs that we really lived together on that given date, and that we might not be able to prove it. But if there is no possible way to correct it, maybe we will just leave it that way and wait, and if at my embassy interview in the future, i'd be asked about it or i'd be asked to provide proofs, i think i'll just tell the truth that my hubby just got confused and gave a wrong date. yeah, u are right guys, i'm just worrying too much...hehe i think this is just the result of being away from a loved one...

Anyways, thanks to both of u for ur replies... :)

I would put N/A for that line because really if he didn't have residence there, he was really only visiting. I lived with my wifes family for a few months but it was still only a vacation so I put N/A on that line because we have never really lived together in my mind. It will be your decision about what to put there but I think it can only cause more questions during that timeframe, and your really not living together on vacation. Good Luck

thieving69,

I agree with your thinking on the visiting v. living with issue, but the 'N/A' answer is dangerous. The question is applicable. A better answer would be something like 'we have not yet lived together'. This makes the situation clear to the case officer.
