SJK....no matter what the link says or anyone, no

dyamn way I would sign or give any ok to my 14 yr

male or female child to be married

I know! Reading that blew my mind and I'm like, what the ph*uk?? The only way the Feds would put that consent by the parent of a petitioner younger than 14 years of age is that there must be a state that lets minors younger than 14 to get married!

Well you can be any age to petition I guess. But you do have to be 18 in order to be a sponsor. Since the petitioner always has to sponsor, they would still be required to wait. My sister's uncle was petitioned by his wife and they got married at 15.

OP: A lot of people are stressed in this kind of situation, but I assure you that everything will be ok. As suggested before, answer everything truthfully and confidently. They only care that all the paperwork is in order and that everything is legit.

I knew a guy who was unemployed for 5 years prior to being petitioned and the CO didn't even ask. His wife also used a joint sponsor because she didn't make enough. They are not there to judge your particular circumstances as long as you meet all the requirements according to the law. Good luck.
