AOS Online Status for I-485 recently sent?

Hello

we recently sent AOS package about a week ago, it seems many are able

to see their status online even before receiving anything in the mail,

How do you see your status for the AOS before recieving that first response

without a case number ?

We need to know as soon as possible whether the AOS has been recieved

and when we might get the first response back.

is calling them the only way to do this before getting a case number?

The only way for you to know if they received it is in the case where you had requested tracking with the postal service when you mailed out the packet. that is the only way, i do not even think calling them would work.

in order for you to check your case online and where it has been you need to have your receipt number which they send you when they first look at you paperwork.

they will send you a letter indicating that they received your packet a week or two after you originally mailed it to them

You need the receipt number in order to check the status online. I doubt calling to try to get it will work - but who knows.

NOA doesn't take that long to come, usually less than 2 weeks.

Hi one way you can check it its if you sent the payment with a personal check.

in the back of the check youll see your receipt number.

p.s. i did it this way they cashed my check and i went to my bank web site and check theback of it it had my receipt number on it.

guguis is correct, if you used a personal check the receipt number should be on the back of the check and you can use that to register online. Or you can wait until you receive the NOA1 - nothing should happen that you need to know before that time anyway, but I know how you feel

We just recently sent our AOS out on Jan 10th. Our checks came through on a Thursday and we got our NOA on Friday. Funny thing was the numbers on the back of the check didn't match the numbers on the NOA.

If they have cashed your checks then you should get your NOA through snail mail very soon.
