Upcoming Vancouver interview

Hey y'all,

I am preparing the documents (my part at least) for my fiance's interview next week in Vancouver. I looked at the consulate website just to make sure I am familiar with security (no cell phones, purses, etc. allowed). Got me to thinking .... how did you guys carry your paperwork? I am making files for each subject (I-134, pay stubs, proof of ongoing relationship, etc.) It is A LOT of documents (yeah, I am probably going overboard on things, but I would rather err on the side of caution so I have printed out a ton of emails, phone bills, proof of income and assets, etc etc etc). Anyway, LOTSA papers. Did the consulate allow you to carry the forms in any kind of bag or did you have to bring the folders on their own? It says no backpacks, luggage or purses. Was not sure if a briefcase would be acceptable.

Thanks!

I took mine in 3 large paper folders, and a plastic expandable file folder that had everything in order. The 3 paper file folders held stuff like my copy of my original 129F and some legal sized income tax things. All the rest of my forms were in the plastic file folder (Wilson-Jones style).

All that (and the medical) went into a cloth bag that was about the size of a safeway bag that I borrowed from my mom.

The expandable file was so worth it lol.

Good luck!

C. purchased an inexpensive canvas expandable folder that zips and has handles. He has all the information in that, and that's what he's planning to take in. It's slightly smaller than a briefcase.
