Hi Guys

This might sound stupid question but i can't resist. I had to ask. I hope someone would answer me.

As you know, i am Nepali citizen and i live in India. My wife is USC. Our I-130 is at Nebraska (that is what the NOA1 said to us). We have received our NOA1 around 12 days ago. And today when i logged in at www.uscis.gov and tried tracking our case, they don't have any info. All it says is "Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283."

For sure i cant call USCIS for more info because i live in different time zone. My day is their night. My USC wife can call but then she being a speech pathologist, she has more than extra work at school helping kids and barely have time to call USCIS.

Do you think i am just being paranoid and its normal for USCIS to not have any update on our case this early?? Or Is there any issue with our submission ?? I look forward to have your opinion.

Thanks folks.

My experience is that they don't really keep their website up to date...putting case information on there seems to be more of an afterthought than an integrated part of their process. Even the few times I called was little better. Their primary communication channel seems to be snail mail.

It can be frustrating, I remember checking the website daily...but the notices I got in the mail were almost always a week (or more) ahead of the website.

I've also read stories on here of people reading incorrect information on the site, but what they send by mail seems to be more accurate.

So don't worry, I don't think it's unusual for them to not have your case on-line yet....you got the letter and that's more important.

I did the same thing. Checked everyday after I received email confirmation. I think my case update showed 15-20 days after I received my NOA1. So I would suggest to wait some more. Maybe another week?
